Can someone help me find a really cheap USB drive online that is 1 gig? I found one that was 17 bucks ... but just in case there are better deals out there, please help out! Its for a Christmas present, but I am extremely tight on money this year ... and any dollar saved is a dollar earned.

Cheaper doesn't mean a better deal. Cheaper drives have less write cycles, are less durable, reliable, etc.
Sandisk are good quality and aren't all that expensive, in my opinion. Seventeen dollars isn't much at all for 1GB of USB storage space, if you're trying to be cheap about a present, buy them a card and explain why you can't get them a gift just yet. Better to wait until you can buy a product of quality than to give a faulty gift.
