View the Wii's Web content in your own browser

I just found this on Slashdot.

Apparently, by changing your User Agent ID string in your browser you can view some of the Wii's content from your own Web browser.
So far its just parts of the Wii Shop and the Instruction Manual, but I'm guessing you'll be able to use the features such as News and Weather when they're online.
Of course you can't actually download any VC games (additional security stuff missing), but it seems the guys responsible for this are working on it to hopefully be able to replicate your Wii browsing experience on your PC.

Although instructions are only given for Firefox, I'm sure any browser where you can change the ID will probably work.

...I wonder if it'll be possible to use this in future to 'aquire' VC content, downloading 'freebies' to your Wii in a fashion similar to the PSO III GC connection method (using a router).

/me hopes waits to see. ;)
