So for the last two weeks, I have been glancing over the various flyers that come in my Sunday paper. I find it interesting that even though HD DVD and Blu-Ray are supposed to be the big hot stuff, not a lot of retail stores are advertising them. I have only seen about 2 for Blu-Ray so far, and the same for HD DVD. Instead though, I am seeing a lot of DVD players with HDMI for upconversion to get "Near HD quality". So it seems to me that a clear winner for this format war is still far off.
More like "It's Betamax, MiniDisc, ATRAC3, etc all over again".

A good use for them is still far off, let alone a "winner."
