Also, Faust and Cluster are the only two, besides Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk, I can recall. But they're pretty well known within the "genre" anyways.

in addition to the ones already mentioned, check out can, amon duul and neu!. i don't necessarily find anything weird with tangerine dream, at least relatively speaking with krautrock. your average person will probably find all of krautrock to be weird.

i think one of their songs ("oh yeah") on "tago mago" is backwards for the first few minutes of it.

EDIT: Everything else got deleted, but he had asked people for bands that make a lot of guitar riffs when he realized krautrock wasn't that accessible.
