basically if you liked pso you will fall head over heels for this game, but it's really not super different from PSO, the combat and gameplay overall seem a lot smoother and more refined and it's basically just an 'improved in every way' version of PSO, but it's not super different--basically if you hated pso you'll probably hate this too
a lot of people are complaining about slowdown on the PC version even with ***ly PCs but mine's just so-so and i have a graphics card barely able to run it and it's ran fine for me
basicallyw hen I played PSO Blue Burst, even though my computer should have run it perfectly, i got lots of slowdown, and finally found out that if I changed color depth from 32bit to 16bit the game hardly looked different at all but it erased ALL my lag issues--i did the same with psu and I haven't really lagged since, sometimes the subtitles on movies are a bit off for some reason though
I haven't been able to play online yet because the registering pages have been down all day due to overload/fixes etc but so far the single player completely rules; all kinds of neat stuff, like you can change between classes insantly anywhere and level them up separately (like FFXI kind of), you can hold a weapon in each hand (like a saber and a gun, you might only be able to hold a melee in one hand and a ranged in the other, I dunno about two range dor two melee unless it's like double-daggers or double-pistol type actual weapontypes) and there's also killer 2handed weapons and you can switch between many weapons very quickly; you can put certain 'elements' into your wepaons and they change color accordingly, and it makes skills of the corresponding type do more damage; and hunters/rangers actually have "spells" per se now, like their own techniques and weapon skills that use up an energy that heals overtime like PP, which is like their version of TP/SP (i'm pretty sure Forces even use the same thing, and you cast spells depending on what spells you have equipped ON your wepaon); i know you can also change yuor class instantly online and eventually there's gonna be 'expert' player classes that either focus on one class like "fortegunner" being a pure ranger, or mix and matches like 'wartecher' which is like a mix of a hunter and a force
you even level up spells and such by USING them, so it almost feels like secret of mana
overall, it's killer so far; the story starts off really cheesy but starts to pick up
I'd link the intro movie or something but youtube's down
Wow it looks awesome. Will it be expensive though?
That game looks great. I would buy it.
So what's the monthly fee on this game?
MMO GAME = MMO BOARD. JA??!!
To the MMO board!
its 9.99 a month i am getting it for the 360, i played pso1and2 on the gamecube and i loved it. i am going to play through the offline story and stuff before i go online, monthly fees blow..
but on a side note, i absolutly loved the pso music it was all so **** good. i hope the music in this game is just as good as pso's was, *** the music on pso was so good that some days i would turn it on just to listen to is, i want a compleat pso soundtrack. is that obtainable??
