Action, adventure, comedy, thriller, horror, sci-fi, war, drama, and documentary.

I like the dumbest movies, but the most interesting ones too. Go figure.

Drama, definitely. Most of my favorite movies would fall into this category. Magnolia, American Beauty, American History X, Boogie Nights, Empire Falls, etc. I just enjoy stories that explore the human psychology and make a point about who we are and explores alternate behaviorisms.

I wouldnt call anime a genre. If anything animation is just to clarify how the film was made.

I dont really have a favorite genre. I like bizzare original things though. So I'm not so keen on the run of the mill high concept action films Hollywood churns out so often.

I see what you're saying. But what would you consider something like Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children? It kinda fits into action, adventure, and fighting.

I pretty much watch anything. Drama, comedy, action, adventure, romance, horror, etc.

I really would not consider "Gay and lesbian" a genre, it's more so a drama.

But really I watch almost anything.

Genre gives audience alot of expectations. Plot and story is one of those. Animation has about as much (probably more) varied plots and stories to live action films. I havent seen Final Fantasy but if the trailer is anything to go by its action mostly. Fantasy and sci-fi too.
