I know a lot of you base what version you're going to get based on the popularity of each cart. Dome info for you:
Since launch in Japan, 813,237 copies of Diamond were sold, while Pearl proved slightly less popular with 762,029.
I'm getting Diamond. I'm also bailing out of this forum right now until the EU release to avoid spoilerisation.
Diamond. I've always been on the Diamond-boat and unless something huge, or better, happens in Pearl, I don't think I'll change my mind. Plus, I know a kid who's buying Pearl. So it all works out.
Plus, you can trade over the Internet with anyone who has any version. So it all works out.
Oh yeah, that too. But I have a feeling I won't be doing much of that, since I'll need a friend code and everything. It'll be easier just to trade with this kid. For me anyways.
What.
We'll put a trading thread up in here and do it that way. Friend Codes are not a big deal.
They are for me. I find the whole thing a hassle, which is why I don't play MPH and MKDS often. But ****, I know I'm going to get involved with this thread anyways. So whatever.
Diamond. I've owned Red before Blue, Gold before Silver and Ruby before Sapphire.
1st before 2nd.
i cant believe this is even an issue diamond rocks
Diamonds are a girl's best friend.
THEREFORE ANYONE THAT BUYS DIAMOND VERSION IS A WOMAN.
So diamonds are more womanly than pearls, now?
More womanly? Maybe not. But they ARE a woman's best friend. So they're ranked higher among them... the logic is there.
I see no problem with being a woman's best friend.
Nor do I. But I see a problem with being a diamond.
That's 'cause you'd rather be coal.
Grim etc, yeah.
pearl all the way!
plus its my birthstone, seeing as it that i was born in june
pearl cuz im gay lol
Diamonds are the hardest metal on Earth.
With that said, I'm getting both versions because I'm obsessive compulsive with most of the Pokemon franchise. It was a big part of my childhood when it came out, so it stuck with me for this long, might as well try to not give up on them. Besides, I saw the new starters and I have got to say I like the look of the penguin.
Spoilers: diamonds are, in fact, a metal.
What. Is carbon a metal?
No. No it isn't.
swing and a miss
WHOOSH
and actually on topic, my favorite so far of the new Pokemon (split evolution from Kirlia, basically a male Gardevoir).
Oh. Now I see!
Haha, what the. The bottom one looks like a Porygon/Ludicolo hybrid.
The guy on the cover of Diamond has a technique called "Time Roar", basically a Dragon version of Hyper Beam.
Good stuff.
Because that's the one that really needed an evolution.
EVERY Pokemon needs an evolution.
Even the ones that already have evolutions.
Yes. Thus ensuring more Pokemon games to come.
Any serious difference other than a few version-exclusive pokemon?
Not really, I think the stylus is involved a lot more though.
I'm hoping they just do something decent to the Pokemon games for once...srsly.
Having the commands, your bag and the options menu on the touch screen and the game on the top would be great, makes the action faster.
A really great feature would be being able to set up your own Gym than send it to a friend to challenge.
But to bring this back onto topic; as much as I like the PokeMon games, I'm still trying to get all the PokeMon in Leaf Green, Fire Red and Emerald.
Very stupid and laughable question: Is it JUST for the Nintendo DS? I have failed to get one so far, xD I was going to for christmas, but I couldn't say no to DDR. D:
Diamond, well cuz my cousin asked me which one im getting so i said diamond.
Yes its only for the DS. I chose sapphire in stad of ruby cuz it was my birthstone.
im gonna get diamond cuz the top pokemon (poke ***?) it that one is a whole lot cooler. ill try to get my friend to buy pearl, but he usally get both anyways
