May as well start one of these up again. This one looks super sweet. If I had the money, I'd place a bid.

Every single released game.
Very nice find Opeth!
...Can anyone lend me $1500? ;)
or why not lend the guy without any of the good games the money? >.>
i have drooled over that auction for a few hours already ^^
Yeah, it's too bad that the auciton for Virtual Bowling I won was a scam. I recieved an empty box in the mail. The dude is also no longer a registered user of ebay. I contacted PayPal, but they were only able to refund me $175 of the $500 I sent to the seller. They couldn't reverse the transaction because he had no funds in his account. GO FIGURE! The seller is also from Holland. So, not much can really be done about it. I have to chock it up to a hard lesson learned. Be carefull with those international auctions fellas. Also, if you pay for an auction through PayPal, use a credit card rather than having the funds drawn straight from your checking account. Most credit cards have some sort of fraud protection attached to them. That was another mistake of mine. I am, once again, on the prowel for Virtual Bowling. Fellow bidders beware
That really sucks :/ I would go nuts if someone scammed 500 from me :( my collection is really small, i only have the cheap games so far ^^ and i have only got scammed one time when i won a vb game (from a guy in Mexico) and that was under 10usd :P (us vertical force)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=187&item=8177326608&rd=1
Great, now I need someone to lend me $2500. ;)
We would all like those games. That's cheap considering it has SD Gundam and Virtual Bowling.
Well, the auction ended.
...I'd hate to be the one who had the bid of $1975.01
You go all that way, and end up $25 short. :(
hey everyone i have space invaders and virtual lab up on ebay if anyone is interested -
si - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8181539911&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
vlab - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8181540966&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
If I hadn't been screwed out of $500 on V-Bowling by a scammer from Holland, I would probaably bid on your SI cart. Even then, my max bid probably wouldn't exceed the $200-250 range. Thanks for pointing them out to us though :double: .
HEHE... I have a link to a very nice VB item. Here it is. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62054&item=8182743868&rd=1
Its a link to a debug virtual boy headset from acclaim. Just so you all know the headset was just to test and view games. This item also comes with a set of development documents and two floppy disks with software.
I wonder what is on the floppy disks........
The floppies contain the official development software as well source for the "Sample Soft for VUE Programming" (info can be found on PVB in games>techdemos). Normally the VUE Debugger came with 3 disks though, and I think I remember ASSEMber saying that he was looking for VB dev soft, so I think those are no original disks.
The docs are not "real" too, those are just David Tuckers VB Programming Manual ~_~
Still an interesting auction though.
im board
hows the auction going
...The auction ended two months ago.
Please don't post if you have nothing significant to add.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8206504669&category=4315&rd=1
very nice almost..
Nice! I'd buy it, but I wouldn't be able to really play it. Seeing as how I don't read Japanese at all. I like to collect, but only if I can enjoy playing it as well.
Hehehe, I found a nice jewel :D :D :D
It's Galactic Pinball prototype...(Early title: Space Pinball)
http://cgi.ebay.com/Virtual-Boy-Prototype-Game-SPACE-PINBALL_W0QQitemZ8217292416QQcategoryZ4315QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I thought the space pinball game only played on the prototype CES 95' version of the Virtual Boy. Hmmm, anyway it's pretty nice :D
I should totally bid on that.
Meh, I'd have lost anyway.
Edit: Actually, that price seems quite modest when compared to Virtual Bowling, which is actually way more common in comparison. I have seen that game sell for 2K.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Athena-Virtual-Boy-Development-Cartridge-VB-dev-debug_W0QQitemZ8218493911QQcategoryZ187QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Very nice :D...I thought he already sold that...
Maybe he had another one?
...That, or the other sale fell through.

Very nice...and fairly cheap for that game.
Oh man. I would kill for that game. KILL! Good price though.
Since when is $530 cheap?
Although it is no $1800... ;)

And there is still 20+ hours left on the auction. I wonder what the auction will close at. Has anyone noticed the shortage of auctions on ebay for the VB? It seem it wasn't too long ago when you could find 7 or 8 pages on VB stuff. Now, we are lucky to see 2 or 3 pages. It seems to be driving up its value a little bit as a result.
Its a bit hard to sell VB stuff when you're trying to collect it. ;)
...But yeah, the fewer the auctions, the higher the prices seem to get. Crazy... :(
Ohhh, I was looking for an actual boy to buy.
...And the sad thing is he/she/it actually signed up solely to post that.

Let's just hope I don't get screwed out of my money like I did with Virtual Bowling.
Very Nice Opeth :D Rep. for you...for no apparent reason :D

...Nice going. Pity I don't have that kind of cash to spend on VB games. :(

I mean, come on! It's not even a boxed copy!! I really wish people would do a little research on an item before attempting to sell it on Ebay. Many of these idiots try to sell their VB stuff in their Ebay store. Ebay store items don't show up in a regular search. Check it out some time and you'll see these morons are a dime a dozen. I think my favorite auctions, however, are the "Extremely Rare" Kemco Baseball ones, lol.
In their uneducated opinions, if its not PS2 or XBox, its rare and is therefore worth $$$.
...Someone should submit an offer of $9.95 for that WW auction, and see what he says. ;)
EDIT: This is a more sane price for it.
Also seems either DogP or cooler017 are selling some stuff.
Shame I don't have the cash for the hardcase atm. :(
VIRTUAL BOWLING OUT ON EBAY, and gundam and virtual LAB from the same dude.. http://cgi.ebay.com/Nintendo-Virtual-Boy-VIRTUAL-BOWLING-BRAND-NEW_W0QQitemZ8234338268QQcategoryZ50227QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Yeah, but that guy is asking a lot for "buy it now" and seems to have high reserves. I was able to get my copy of VBowling for a mere $850 with shipping. Of course the box wasn't in as nice of condition. I don't think those will sell any time soon the way he is auctioning them. He states on his VBowling auction that he once saw one sell for 2,000 GBP (or $3,739.70 at the time). He is telling the truth about that. I saw the same auction and was so amazed that I printed it out. The buyer was from France. I think it will be a looooong time before another copy ever sells for that much again. The only 2 games I am missing now are SD Gundam and Virtual Lab. But, I'm not going to fork out the cash that guy is asking for them. I could probably get Virtual Lab through a guy I know for about $400, but I don't have the cash for it just yet. As it is, I just paid him $550 for a nice store display stand. I'll post pics when it arrives in the mail.

Why oh why don't humans accept Darwinism and do some weeding out...
Opeth, your assumption towards said Jerk is valid.
He's only a jerk if the VB doesn't sell for much. ;)
I just wish I was smart enough to paint my spare VB(s) and make $$$ off them.
lol, he finished the auction early. I wonder what he's going to do next, add some racing stripes maybe? :p:
...OK, a little off topic here.
I recently discovered Google Books, and decided to type in everyones favourite search term. :)
I ended up with this page, and I took a look at the prices it mentions.
...Either someone doesn't do their research, or my figures are way off. If I can buy Waterworld and Jack Bros for under $20, could someone please tell me where? ;)
Clearly, that is an old list of prices, as they did not include Virtual Bowling in it. Still, at the time that list was created, those prices seem a bit off. As far as that auction ending early, he probably noticed that we called him on it. I wonder if we'll ever hear from him again.
Hmmm....this isnt a bad auction. It may be great for whoever needs the game.
3D Tetris in the box, with instructions* usually goes for 70+. This one is just the cart with no box or anything. It has the buy it now option for $20.

He should have kept the Mario Tennis game!

...
If you had even bothered to look at the auction, you would have seen that it ended almost a month ago.
It always seems that when one person puts a rare gem up for auction, that someone else follows and tries 1-up the other guy or feed off of the attention that his auction is drawing in. Especially when it comes to VB auctions. Anywho, here's a couple of items I have not seen up for a while...
this one seems clean, but is missing the inserts and base plate. A sad site to see :(

This one looks pretty sweet, but is still missing the base plate. I assume people just threw them away when they took them from the store to make it easier to move. The base plate alone probably weighs 15-20 lbs. Still, a sad site.

Is it just me, or is there something wrong with the large Virtual Boy logo thats supposed to light up. It looks like a plain red panel.
Also, that guy refers to it as a "Virtual Game Boy".
People like that shouldn't be let near a VB, let alone own a rare item such as that.
Anyone want a VB store display, sign only?
What are you gong to do? hang it on your wall?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Virtual-Boy-Store-3D-Display_W0QQitemZ8281252424QQcategoryZ187QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I would proudly hang that on any wall in my house......if I actually owned one. I suppose I could just take a hacksaw to my actual store display and make it into a wall hanging sign, lol. The possibilities are endless!
A prototype Virtual Boy is currently on eBay.
These models were used in CES '95 and Shoshinkai '94 to preview the up and coming 3D console. They are slightly redesigned with different logos, coloured controller buttons, the plastic logos on the sides of the console missing, and IIRC a different link port socket.
Shame I don't have enough money, but its probably for the best... ;)
Hmmm... maybe I bought my Virtual Boy from one of you. I think that'd be kinda cool. Anyone here ive in Danbury Conneticut? Oh, I saw that prototype Virtual Boy, the bid on it was like 1333.38. I thought the next bid was going to be 1337.00 I was wrong. :(
EDIT::: Reading into this topic, I checked out Opeth's auction. I thought I'd never meet anyone online in the central timezone, let alone in Illinois too.
You live in Illinois? Where about?
Northern Chicago Suburbs. You?
Ha! NW close to O'Hare Airport. I live in Franklin Park.
Edit: Mayhaps one day I'll let you play my Virtual Bowling.
Sweet, O'hare is like 20 minutes away from me. Wow. got an AIM screen name? I have all the major ones (I cant use gmail tho :() DId you hear about what happend to that kid in the car with the Uhaul truck? How it slammed into his car at like 60mph. I knew him :( I think Elliote (the driver) is recovering tho, he goes to my highschool.
Check your PMs.

You seem to be making an awful lot of posts for a day old newbie.
Old newbie? You wanna try speaking english. I don't like having to always figure out what people have to say, and uif you go to any forum (except mine (thats the one in my signature)) I always post like this, cause If I don't then I won't be active.

...And GKKleiner's post probably doesn't belong here, but there isn't exactly a Virtual Boy thread for it, and I doubt anyone visiting the VB forum would bother with Buy/Sell/Trade anyway.
I'm still looking for copies of Jack Bros and Waterworld. Since every other game of mine has box/manual, I'd like the same for these.
...Unfortunately they're the dearest and rarest of the US games... (besides Nester) :(

Anyway, if a person believes what a seller on ebay has to say w/o doing their own research, they get what they deserve. Perhaps those bidders just want to be able to play the game and don't care about its condition. I still say they are suckers.
People seem to be willing to pay more for these lately.

That's because it's tainted. Notice the warning sticker from the rental store and the black marker on the back. Even though it has the box and instruction, it's not cherry. It seems a bit low, but not too low.
Just noticed a "Wii" Virtual Boy on Yahoo Auctions JP.
http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f48975476
All it is is a VB painted white with a blue stripe, and a Wii logo sticker stuck on it.
http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k40530237
2 VB posters. One of the console, the other of Mario Clash.
Hey guys you thought I was some Jerk trying to hype up my custom white Virtualboy a while back. Well funny how it seems I found out about that on the Planet Virtual Boy forums and saw it was some weirdo on gamefaqs message boards. Anyways the reason why I first took it off ebay was I didn't feel like it was ready to sell or in the condition I wanted to sell it in and I got some more money via scholarships. So I stripped it back to the Red plastic = Many hours of sanding :(
Then a while later I bought another VirtualBoy at a good price on ebay then I painted that white. So I had one new white Virtual Boy and I painted the stripped down virtual boy shell and took it apart to paint it right. This time I used black paint which I thought looked cool. So I had the VBs for a while but in my college loserness I thought I'd try and sell them again on eBay with everything together. Including the AC adapter hmmm was it 8 games? I don't remember two controllers and the two custom virtual boys and one custom white virtual boy controller. For awhile I was contemplating putting blue LEDs in the case to get a Revolution type glow but alas I didn't know where i'd get clear plastic to fit on the head piece or the controller. I did have for a while a little set up with some resistors on the controller hooked up to the power but meh I just didn't want to take a chance on cutting up the case or controllers :(.
Oh boy and the first attempt at the white VB really stank because I saw reflective paint in the store and thought... gee wouldn't that be cool and I did it and poo it looked like ****e you can go and search on google for gerrhod Virtualboy and you'll see under NintendoGal some pictures of that blech it sucked also you'll see the discolored ring around the Nintendo logo that was because the vinyl sitcker that I purchased didn't react well with the reflective paint and bubbled so I removed it. Oi, lets see what else I did with those virtual boys really it was a labor of love and I wish I hadn't let them go but oh well maybe when I get more money since i've graduate college now i'll buy another VB and do a REALLY REALLY nice job on the VB plus get all the games and keep it for myself. I wish people wouldn't call me a jerk though. Remember don't try and connect the dots if you don't know the whole story.
go to moz la punk's message boards search for my nick name under author and you'll see a topic I created called "I just won a virtual boy on ebay review coming soon" Then on the second page you'll see my development picures of it okie dokie? I wish ebay kept a longer log of ebay auction so i'd show you the second auction I had that had everything in it :( oh well heck even look at my ebay account same nick name as this and moz la punk yadda yadda :/ Anyways thought you'd guys also be interested in how I either improved upon the look or disgraced it :(.

hey has anyone here got all the virtualboy games
http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m40644017 I think this is the promo video of the VB, but I'm not sure as I don't read Japanese.
I recently got an unopened Japanese Jack Bros for 45 dollars, free shipping.
I have won Panic Bomber, Vertical Force, and Virtual Tetris (all jpn) and got
them all for under 20 bucks, shipping included.
There is a seller in Kobe Japan listing Insmouse and Space Squash for 120 and 64 dollars, respectively. Don't know how well they are selling, they have multiple new copies. Wario Land can be had cheap, if you are lucky, but there is a lot of interest in this game, as well as in Mario Clash. I see prices as high as 50 bucks for Mario Clash, but the average seems to be 20-30 bucks for a copy, more if manual or box is included.
Jack Bros (English) causes auctions to blow up, whether with a unit, in a lot, or by itself. This game is routinely going higher than a new next-gen game, and it's a great game, but I'm not paying that.
You can get a 2fer on Baseball for cheap (less than 10 bucks). I got an unopened copy and a loose cart, same seller has more auctions up on this item, they must have a bunch of them.
Space Invaders listed twice at 275 dollars:no takers so far. I don't care how rare it is: it's freakin' Space Invaders. You might be able to score an actual arcade cabinet for that figure, with persistence and luck.
Good luck to everybody....
