Do you not have ds? Because if you do i don't know why you would be getting red instead of blue.
Yeah I learned that a while ago. I had to grab my balls and buy blue, but hey its still pretty **** fun. The fighting system can confuse me at moments but its cool. Theres a lot more work to be done in this one, Ill have to turn my hat around to beat this game. :D
I was going out to buy Pokemon mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, but they didn't have it in stalk. So i bought Cooking Mama instead.
I might see if I can pick up a cheap copy somewhere, but I'd rather wait until D/P in March. I know that if I do get one, I'll end up getting the other. >.<
Hehe, I dont think you can trade pokemon though, since its ds and gba :(
You plug one in one slot and the other in the other.
I think if you get stuck on one, you can rescue yourself from the other, or something.

You can rescue any game from any cartridge.
I got Zapdos to join my team, which was kind of cool. The sad thing is that he has about 400 more HP when you fight him then when he's actually fighting with you...
Yeah, but there's definitely some sort of special connectivity between the two.
Yeah, you can trade teams and items between them. Which could be useful, if I had both versions.
Ouch that sucks, well I still havent recruited anyone except maginite or however you spell it. Anyways woohoo this game still rocks.
So far I've got Magnemite, Geodude, Rattata, Electrike, and Voltorb.
With Pikachu as my partner, that means I have too many Electric types right now. :cookie:

I don't like getting that many friend pokemon, as it can be a huge pain to get through the dungeon with them. They die so easily, and take all of my reviver seeds... usually, I just use my awesome combination of Blaziken and Feraligator (With Zapdos, if I'm not having an escort).
Here's my AAA (Absolutely Awesome Attacks) list I've made so far-
Screech- Lowers your opponents defense by a ridiculous amount. 2 or 3 screeches against an enemy will lower their defense so much that virtually any enemy will be knocked out in one attack.
Substitute- This move is absurd. Not only does it completely disable the enemy from doing anything, it makes all of the enemies attack him like crazy.
Rock Smash- If you get this HM, use it. It not only lets you get special HMs, it lets you take huge shortcuts, too. Plus it has 99 PP.
Powder Snow- Another crazy, kill everything on the map attack. Usually.
Flamethrower/Ice Beam- So much power, at long range, too.
And no list would be complete without the award for the Absolute Worst Pokemon Ever- Ditto.
Are the stat changing moves really that good?
I've noticed they made a pretty big difference in Mystery Dungeon, as opposed to the traditional games. Smokescreens been pretty handy during bosses. >_>
Nice, I shouldve done that on skarmony. Used some blast seeds though ;)
Okay, will someone PLZ tell me how to get excited about Pokemon?!? I can't seem to get into it because it seems so **** lame. I mean, c'mon, it's a bunch of circular shaped "monster" looking things that say "cutesy" things. What the hell is the attraction? Stupid I tell you, STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible depth of gameplay. It entails a LOT more than just paying attention to "cutesy" monsters - you have to strategise to hell and back... In the traditional games. I don't know anything about this spinoff series.
^ Nice signature Klarth
I really want to get this game, I went to 2 diffrent gamestops and one EBgames and they were all sold out. Im gonna have to wait untill next week.
i bet that if you get red and blue (i think blue is ds only and red is gba only), put them both into you're ds at the same time, i bet it lets you trade pokemon from the gba to the ds.
If you thought the originals involved a lot of strategy... some of the later missions (NOT SO JOYOUS TOWER COUGH COUGH) require so much strategy, they will make your head explode. That's why I stopped playing, I was sick of having to go to the hospital every time I tried to get through one of those ****ed "lv. 1 only" missions.
This game is badass, but I WANT DRAGONITE WHEN DOES DRAGONAIR EVOLVE(please help my little Krasus evolve((WC:DotD(((oh yeah))))))
Lv. 50.
Wow hes only 34
This game is so freaking addicting when you start to play it
Is any 1 at the part where u have to peel the chestnuts or past it?
You gotta go through that stupid jungle level over and over again to collect the chesnuts to make those Mankeys happy. Don't peel any of them.
Well, then it's probably lv. 55. I haven't paid much attention, since all evolving does is change your appearance and let you use a few more moves (and remove your speech icon!).
I stopped playing this game after my whole party could each deal 999 damage in a single attack. Like in the normal games, that's an instant KO every time, even in boss fights.
Then you've got linking moves, and you're talking about 3000+ points of damage... :P
