Ulver - Lyckanthropean Themes

Very slow, tranquil, beautiful ambient music. Great to work to.

Wow, I'm loving on Machinae Supremacy, too.

Various Artists - Gigantour 2005. :D

Really liking "Liars" from Lola Ray and "Demon Days" from the Gorillaz.

Posted by Gollum

Burzum - Filosofem
Moonspell - Wolfheart

I've been listening to those two a lot lately.

Posted by Phantasma2

the Gazette - NIL
Dir en grey - Withering to Death

Pretty fun albums. But out of those 2 I prefer Withering to Death. Just because it's heavier.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

65daysofstatic's "One Time For All Time."

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill- Lauryn Hill

I am feeling almost every track on this album, especially "Ex-Factor".

Posted by Xero

The album I'm really addicted to right now is the Hungarian album from the venetian snares made in 2005. I just can't get fed up listening to it.

Posted by Kamek

"Come Away With Me" by Norah Jones.

I mean I've heard the first single "Don't Know Why" a thousand times, but the rest of the album is just as strong as that single, especially "Shoot the Moon" and "Seven Years".

Right now I'm loving The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest.

I love how they used Ron Carter, famous jazz bassist, to do bass on some tracks. Really good stuff.

Posted by Arcadios

Nas-God's Son.
Every track is nice and I love Heaven and Thugz Manshion.

John Mayer- Continuum

Oh man. I was scared that this new blusey direction would turn me off, because I was a sucker for his acoustic sensitivity. I love this evolution in his sound.

His first single was nice, but tracks like "Gravity", "Slow Dance in a Burning Room" and "I'm Gonna Find Another You" are just great.

I'm listening to "Bold as Love" on his album. He did a Hendrix cover and I have to say, I think he did it GREAT justice. It's such a good album, I'm really feeling it.

Insomnium - Since the day it all came down
New metal cd, woootootototoot.

Mind.In.A.Box - Lost Alone

Peculiar how music most people would find depressing, I find uplifting. This is a very dark album I can really get into.

Redemption ~ The Fullness of Time

I'm addicted to the song "Sapphire". Also, I love Ray Alder's voice, like LaBrie's but much manlier.

Posted by victimofadown

blood sugar sex magik - red hot chili peppers

i believe that this is their best album ever.

Panic! at the Disco - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out

Taking Back Sunday - Louder Now

Atreyu - Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses

Shattersphere - Shattersphere (196kbps)

I'm really enjoying Love's Burial Ground by Forgotten Tomb. This album is a lot different than their other stuff, and I can appreciate that seeing as how it's has a far more depressive black metal sound to the vocals and I enjoy that quite a bit. The song "Alone" is absolutely amazing. I haven't heard a song this effective in creating a dark, somber atmosphere since I first heard "Without ***" by Katatonia.

Tom Petty's new album Highway Companion.

If this album was a woman I'd rape her.

JUST SHUT UP.

I'm getting into Wintersun's self-titled lately as well.

Oh, and the latest effort from Katatonia. <333333

Doomrider's "Black Thunder." So good.

Physical Graffiti by the ***s of rock and roll, Led Zeppelin! One of the best double albums of all time. Love it! They censored a word spelled G-O-D.

Posted by Phantasma2

Razed In Black's Damaged

I love the whole album. Sexy Dark Trance.

Wintersun - Wintersun

I've been listening to this album pretty much non stop for two weeks. Everything about it is perfect.

Posted by Delilah

"Flyleaf" by Flyleaf. The vocals aren't really that great, but everything else is awesome. I just bought it today.

:bounce:

Posted by Omni

I dunno, her voice kinda suits their music. I think the style is called emotion-based vocalizing. They cited Rage Against The Machine, Nirvana, and Soundgarden as influences.

Posted by Delilah

Fully Alive and Cassie, she did good on.

Posted by rivercitytecmo

ooioo - "taiga"
ratatat - "classics"
joanna newsom - "the milk-eyed mender" (eagerly anticipating "ys")
mates of state - "team boo" (please don't mock me)

I can't wait.

I've been listening to Katatonia's Dance of December Souls a lot lately. It's fantastic.

Posted by Shin-Ra

^ Indeed it is. As are the mentions of Filosofem and Wolfheart at the thread's beginning. Fantastic albums. "Erblicket Die Durhther des Firmamaents" by Burzum is an especially great song.

I've been listening to the new Peste Noire album, [i]La Sanie des Si

Snog - Third Mall from the Sun.

This is a pretty brilliant album, lyrically and musically. It's more industrial than straight-up techno, and there is a lot of sampling and experimentation going on, all to great effect. Some of it is quite danceable and infectious. Not only is the music fun, it's also worth paying close attention to his amusing and often spot-on cynical mockery of Western society.

*appears out of nowhere*

Ragnarok by Tyr. Progressive viking metal at its best (and worst simultaneously).

I got bored of that album. It's pretty good, but didn't have the staying power in my mind that Eric the Red did.
