I'll probably be up for that, since it appears to be in my timezone, but I'm not holding my breath. Probably nothing great, what with TGS around the corner and Nintendo's own event soon.

Ooooooo. Nothing too exciting for the here-and-now, but at least we know the Wii will be ready in good supply for the launch, no matter if it is next month or next week! Now it's just a matter of waiting until the 14th.

I got in last night at around 5am, fired up my PSP to check my email, and happened to find this just as it was breaking. I was like 'oh, cool, maybe an earlier than later Wii release, then' and then went to sleep.

Why were you out at 5am?

Ooh, so this means the Wii could be released as early as the end of September. Fab.

Its NICE but I exspected a heavenly group of angles to desend from gaming heaven and dilver then news on a gold charriot and we would dance a happy dance for days to come.


But meh.

No one's saying the Wii is shipping earlier than everyone expected. It's just that they're ready to ship and should have tons of units by the launch.

The guy responsible for hyping up the announcement at joystiq.com got canned. He then got hired at destructoid.com and wrote a rebuttal about the whole situation.
