Porn isn't allowed at all. The image itself was confined and Opeth posted content along with it.
And I'm not the only person with a problem. A member reported it and a different super mod removed it the first time. I've just been doing it lately. I banned Chepito for a week since he kept putting it up rather than asking or anything
Was he told why it was taken down and that if he put it back he'd be banned?

I removed it, twice, because nm/de (netman) reported it. Didn't ban him though. Super Mods, or atleast I, don't go looking for this stuff. Usually only bother to do anything if it's actually bothering someone else.

yes, because the main issue (in my eyes at least) is that you guys don't bother telling people the reason behind why you do certain things. I've had my sig deleted numerous times, and not once has the person doing it ever told me why they felt it wasn't appropriate. I just happened to notice it had changed on me and there was a cute little hidden text message telling me not not put it back.
and again, you guys have to be consistent. just because netman didn't like something doesnt mean you have to abide by his wishes and remove the picture. if it offends him so much, tell him to turn sigs off so he doesn't have to see it.
In the sig edits he was warned and told that it was innapropriate. I even warned him that I would ban him if he did it again. He continued to put it back up, so he was banned.
And yeah, you're supposed to inquire when you disagree with a mod's decision. If I delete a spam post, you're not supposed to post it again. You're supposed to PM a mod, PM Jesse, or making a thread in the flame board or board help. This is common sense for Christ's sake. You don't have to act like angsty pre-teens everytime some one does something you don't agree with.

I was one of the people who reported it btw because it wasn't something I enjoyed seeing, and it so happens the moderators, in their judgement as a moderator, agreed.

It's not irrational to remove obscene material, and asking some one to just ignore it compelte bull****. It appears whenever he posts and it's not something worth blocking all sigs for. Also, don't try saying "oh, no one cares about it." It is a mutilated rabbit, for christ's sake. People aren't going to expect it and many will be disgusted upon seeing it.
I don't see any whining. Hell, we urged him to get banned. Also, though he didn't PM anyone, he obviously disagreed with the decision, what with the various things he said in his signature after the image was removed. Which is more or less the same thing.
P.S. I'm fairly certain no one actually cares. I mean, it was a mutilated rabbit after all. But like Lolin said, be consistent. Either allow it everywhere or don't allow it anywhere.
Why? We've been consistent when it comes to gory images in signatures. The reason why it's allowed in the original thread is because it was actually the topic and had more content than just "lolz look at this rabbit." It's like that with censored hentai too. That stuff isn't allowed in sigs, but we're not too angry about it being in blogs as long as it's censored and labeled. Understand that even if it's a "bad thing," it's not necessarily as bad in certain situations.
I like his new sig more.
If he was warned about it, there's no reason to complain. I agree that standards need to be set but this isn't the thread for them and I'm afraid no thread will be made and kept civil on this subject. I hope I'm wrong.
