I've been making a lot of polls today. Anyway, this is outside of school, because you generally use pens or pencils in school.
I use pens. I despise pencils. I use crayons and markers to color sometimes, and I hardly ever draw on the computer. And I have only ever used blood once. I cut my finger (accidentally) and wrote my initials on a pass to the nurse that I asked the teacher to sign.
Pencils used to make me feel ill. I stuck to erasable pens for a few years. Now I also use mechanical pencils.
I also dislike pencils. Pens for me.

Pencils ftw. I hate pretty much every pen. They don't "grip" the page like a pencil does.
I use mechanical pencils. The edge never get's dull, all you gotta do is put new lead in, and it doesn't make a mess. (Unlike pencils, when you gotta sharpen them and sometimes the shavings get on you.)
Pens. They feel more professional. And you don't have to sharpen them.
I don't, I use a computer to type mostly everything. If for some reason I find myself bound to use a writing utensil for whatever purpose, I'll use a pen, and I'm rather picky as I like Pilot G207 Pens, preferably black.
I perfer computer as well - I just cannot bear to write really sloppy or my hand gets tired fast - but in timed writings, I can't afford to write really slowly and detailed.
I prefer to use a pencil (Not sure... there's something about a pencil that makes you want to be drawing instead of writing :)), but we never have any, so usually I use boring biros. In lectures I use a fountain pen, because the only thing that beats that as a writing experience is writing on a banana a lá Honda advert (Honestly, when I'm rich and powerful, I'll get a factory built to manufacture paper from banana skins, it's just so much better than normal paper... Plus, you're writing on fruit, that's obviously an automatic win! XD)
Actually... though writing with a pencil makes me want to be drawing instead of writing, I usually draw in biro :confused:

i hate pencils.. they have become obsolete.. i usually use blood, but theres been a shortage so ill have to go with pens....
While I prefer blood as a beverage, it makes a [COLOR="black"]pi[/COLOR]ss poor writing tool. I normally make so many mistakes that a pencil is required of me.
I have this odd thing about writing- I only use black ballpoint pens, or typing. I just HATE doing it any other way.

At my workplace, I have to use pens for everything, because we have all kinds of documents that need to be official.
I hate normal pencils. I always have to sharpen. A waste of time. So I usually use pens, or mechanical pencils.
I hate pens. Whenever I try to use one, it almost never works, or if it does work I get ink all over my hand because I'm bad at writing. So I usually use a pencil. I don't care if they need to be sharpened, because with pens I waste more time trying to get the mother to write.

Normally I just use whatever I have on me. In school they want us to use pens, so that's what I normally use. But I always run out of ink, which gets really annoying. I like mechanical pencils, but I never have any.
I sometimes use mechanical pencils. If I find one on the ground in school or something, I'll use it until it runs out and then drop it back off in the hall.
I just take all the pens and pencils some rich sucker leaves on the floor (at school) and use them as my writing utensil. I'm helping the environment at the same time, too.
How are you helping the enviorment? You're just giving the janators an easy days work. I trash the class if I can. Make those bastards word for their paychecks. Although I pick up mechanical pencils.. so I can't really talk.
Because using preowned pencils means less wood is used to make current pencils....or something. I'm not 100% sure.
Pencils are still made, wether you use preowned ones.. although that makes sense.

Haha don't be a dummy. This guy down the road from me has a masters degree in a science field, but he chooses to clean floors and such at the schools just because he likes it more. He's one of the nicest adults I know.
Pens are nice, and so are pencils. Usually Im just worried about having one.
Keyboards. Don't waste any ink, wood, plastic or graphite.
They waste electricity.
Pens, specifically Uniball brand type. I just like 'em better.
I prefer typing, just because my WPM is pretty superb and my writing legibility is... not so superb. However, when forced to freehand, I lean heavily towards pencil usage. It's a lot easier to doodle with a pencil than with a pen, more accuracy when shading/drafting/etc. That being the second reason why I prefer to type... using a pen or pencil is just opening up the ADD floodgates on drawing.

Colored pencils are cool though, but they need sharpening.
I like pens...fountain pens, gel pens-anything that's fun to write with and colorful :3
