Chapter XXVII Grand Finale
----Later that Night----
Aurie had just finished healing Mateo from his wounds.
Mateo rose from his bed.
"Thanks, Aurie" He kindly said.
"No problem, Glad to be of help" Aurie responded.
Aurie and Mateo walked into the main lobby where the sun could be seen outside the window.
The sky had a glowing orange tone to it.
With the first and second round out of the way, all that was left were the semi-finals and finals.
"How about we go out to eat since we've had a rough day?" Suggested Eiyuu.
Everyone nobbed their head in approval and walked outside of the main lobby.
----Resturant----
Mateo, Eiyuu, Renai, Kayne, Keira, Aurie and Anara all went to the nearest resturant.
As time passed they ate and talked, much laughter could be heard all through the building.
"Mateo, you got your *** handed to you." Said Eiyuu.
Mateo smirked.
"At least I wasen't almost shot to death." Responed Mateo.
"Hey, that was a close match but I still won."
"I could say the samething."
"Will you guys just be quiet!" Yelled Aurie.
"What we do?" Asked Eiyuu
"Well for started you're interupting our meal." Said Kayne
"Whatever." Responded Eiyuu
"Well I'm full." Said Renai with a cheerful smile.
"Yea, me too." Said Keira.
"Well then, shall we leave?" Asked Kayne.
"Not yet." Said Anara with a mouthfull of noodles.
"I'm still hungry!"
"You're paying then." Said Mateo.
"Okay...okay, I'm done."
"Now can we go?"
"Yea, I'll go pay the bill."
----Center of the City----
"Where should we go to sleep?" Asked Renai.
"Why shouldn't we just go back to the ship?" Responded Eiyuu
"Cause I have to sleep on a hard bed and I hate that." Replied Keira.
"Well then why not just get a new bed?" Asked Mateo.
"I doubt we have any money for that right now." Said Kayne.
"Well, whatever you guys do dosen't matter to me, I'll go to the ship and sleep there." Said Eiyuu
"I'll go to the ship too." Replied Renai.
"No! Why not go with us to a hotel, Renai?" Asked Aurie.
"I don't know, I don't feel like going, I guess."
"So, only Eiyuu and Renai are going back to the Highwind?" Asked Mateo.
"Yup and the all of us will go to a nice hotel." Answer Anara.
"Then I'll met you guys tommorrow." Said Eiyuu.
"Well see ya later, bro." Said Mateo.
"Later."
As Eiyuu and Renai started to walk toward the ship were it was last seen, Mateo, Aurie, Anara, Kayne, and Keira all went to check into a hotel.
----Dawn----
The sun could be seen coming up from the sky.
The top of the sky was still dark and stars could be seen.
Eiyuu had just woken up from his slumber and looked to his right to see Renai.
Eiyuu had taken a shower and was fully clothed.
He went outside to find Mateo waiting for him.
"So, did you sleep well?" Asked Mateo.
"Yea, I had a good sleep, how about you?"
"I can't say the same, Aurie, Anara and Keira were up all night talking about...nevermind."
"Ready to start?" Asked Eiyuu.
"Let's go!"
Eiyuu had summoned Kingdom Key while Mateo already had Tide out.
"Why are you sticking with one keyblade?" Asked Mateo.
"I need more practice with just one, I've become to relent on two"
'Well then, let's get started!"
Mateo and Eiyuu charged at each other with their weapons in hand.
Mateo rose Tide and thrusted it forward while Eiyuu threw his keyblade infront of him to build up a defense. Eiyuu was sliding back and losing ground.
Mateo saw his upportunity and pressed his weapon forward.
Eiyuu fell backwords but caught himself from fallen with one hand on the moist grass.
He kicked Mateo in his legs to make him fall but Mateo stood his ground and swung Tide toward Eiyuu, Once again Eiyuu put his keyblade infront of him to block tide.
Eiyuu was struggling trying to keep Mateo at bay.
"What's wrong, Eiyuu?" Asked Mateo
"What happened, did you get rusty?"
Eiyuu was still trying to hold of Mateo.
Mateo pushed forward but tide slid on the surface of Eiyuu's keyblade to the side.
Eiyuu then swung his keyblade which smacked tide out of Mateo's hands.
Mateo jumoed backwords since he was defenseless without his weapon.
Eiyuu was gasping for air sine his stamina was drained.
Mateo only huffed and wasen't as tired out.
Mateo looked to the corenr of his eye to see tide firmly place on the grass.
Eiyuu threw his kayblade at Mateo.
"Strike Raid!"
Mateo jumped to his left and ran toward tide.
Eiyuu clucthed his fist and his keyblade reappered.
Mateo had gotten tide off the ground.
"Dark Aura!" Yelled Mateo.
Eiyuu's eyes widen in fear of being struck down by Mateo and so he fled but Mateo was behind him. As Eiyuu turned around he had postioned himself ready to throw his weapon but once he started moving his arm forward his keyblade had dissappered.
Mateo cut through Eiyuu and dissapeared into a viod only to reappear and strick Eiyuu again.
Until Eiyuu was on the ground, Mateo stopped.
Eiyuu got up from the ground, dirt and blood were on his clothing and sweat was pouring from his face. Mateo asked:
"Wanna quit?"
"No way!" Responded Eiyuu with a weak tone of voice.
Eiyuu focused on bringing his keyblade back.
Eiyuu recived a keyblade but it wasen't kingdonkey it was Absolute Light.
"What?!"
Mateo saw Eiyuu's keyblade appear so he stood his ground and held tide close.
Eiyuu took two steps backwords while Mateo ran forward.
Eiyuu's eyes widened to see an aura dark aura around Mateo's chest.
Absolute Light had given off a pulse that Eiyuu felt, his grip strengthened.
Mateo throw tide backword toward the back of his head and was about to strike.
Eiyuu thrusted absolute light toward the back of his head and was about to swing it forward till it dissappeared.
Eiyuu had put too much force into his keyblade and since it had vanished he fell backwords as a result on his buttocks.
Mateo stopped right infront of Eiyuu and dismissed tide.
He held his hand forward and Eiyuu accepted it.
"What happened?" Asked Mateo.
"I'd like to know that too."
Mateo and Eiyuu had fell to the wet grass to take a rest.
"Did you feel like you had grown an aura?" Asked Eiyuu.
"No, can't say that I have."
"Why?"
"I saw a dark aura coming from your chest to where your heart is."
"I guess you were the only one that saw it." Said Mateo.
"Yea, What time is it?" Asked Eiyuu.
Mateo stood up and looked inside the ship.
"6:30!" Yelled Mateo.
"Be quite, Renai is still asleep"
"O, Sorry."
"Man, I'm tired, I'm going to head back to bed sine the semi-finals don't start till noon."
"Ya, I better head back to the hotel, later bro."
"Yea, later."
Eiyuu went back inside the Highwind to take a shower since he had sweat, blood and dirt on him.
With a nice cold shower done, he put back on his pajamas and layed down next to Renai.
----Noon----
Eyuu had woken up once again.
He yoned loudly and rubbed his eyes to see that the clock said 12:07pm.
"What the hell?!"
Eiyuu quickly took a shower and put on his clothing.
He rushed outside on the ship that was on a field of grass and was 1 1/2 miles away from the stadium. He locked up the Highwind and ran toward the city.
----Stadium----
"Will Eiyuu please come to the ring!" Yelld the announcer.
"Where is Eiyuu?" Asked Renai.
"The lazy dummy must had overslept." Answered Kayne.
"I left him a note."
"I'm sure he'll get here" Said Keira.
"Eiyuu, will you please come to the ring, you have 2 mins left!" Said the announcer.
----Field of Grass----
Eiyuu had been running as fast as he could.
He went up a hill to see the city and he saw it but it was a distance away from his current location.
He went down the hill and saw a figure coming from the direction where he was heading.
It was Kanzen that was apporching Eiyuu.
"What do you want!" Asked Eiyuu.
"I'm here to finish our little beef." Replied Kanzen.
"Why here then?"
"I'm prohibited from killing anyone in the tournament so I'll just have to kill you here in this field of grass."
----Stadium----
"Eiyuu is now disqualifed from the match making Anara the winner!" Yelled the announcer.
The crowed was mad since they lost a chance to watch a fight.
"What! They can't do that!" Yelled Renai.
"We can't do anything about it, let it go." Said Kayne.
"Yea, Eiyuu's lose for not showing up so that means I get bumed up to the final!" said Anara.
"Now will Mateo and Kanzen, plese come to the stage!"
"Well, It's my go now." Said Mateo.
Mateo appeared in the ring awaiting Kanzen.
"Will Kanzen please come to the stage."
The crowd waited for Mateo's opponent to appear but after 5 minutes of waitng the announcer wa said to call the match off.
"Kanzen has been disqualifed and so the winner is Mateo!
The crowd was more outraged then before and started to yell at the announcer.
"Now will Anara please come to the stage!"
"Well wish me luck."
Anara jumped on the ring and she loked at Mateo.
"Now.....Fight!"
----Finals----
Mateo ran forward and threw tide at Anara, she dodged it and ran to the side.
Mateo retreved tide and stood still as Anara ran circles trying to confuse Mateo.
Anara finnaly made her move and jumped into the air, her hair got longer, her eyes turned blood red and she fell down toward Mateo.
He jumped to the side while Anara fell into the ring destroying the center and creating a hole.
A cloud of dirty rose from the hole and Mateo was ingulged in it.
A shadow kept on running from one location to another, Mateo was trying to keep track of Anara but she attacked Mateo from behind.
Shje ripped off the back of his shirt and started digging her claws into his back.
Mateo screammed in pain as Anara kept attacking and drawing blood.
----Feild of Grass----
Eiyuu summoned absolute light and absolute darkness.
Kanzen summoned Redemption and Forgivness.
Their eyes met for 5 minutes then Eiyuu jumped up above Kanzen since he had the higher ground and started his assualt upon Kanzen.
Both of Eiyuu's keyblades met with Kanzen's keyblades, Eiyuu landed behind Kanzen and attacked his back, Kanzen was thrown forward because of the attacks and then he turned around only to get a keyblade thrusted in his face.
Kanzen fell backwords amd Eiyuu backed off.
Kanzen was bleeding from his forhead and he said:
"Why did you stop?"
"I have no idea maybe it's because I feel rsorrow towards you."
"Spare me your feelings."
Kanzen threw his keyblades at Eiyuu.
"Strike raid!"
Eiyuu blocked one keyblade, juat as he was about to block the on coming keyblade it dissappeared and Kanzen yelled:
"Ars Arcanium!"
Eiyuu was struck with Redemption repeatedly until Eiyuu fell to the ground.
As Eiyuu tryed to get up from the florr he coughed up blood.
"It seems as if you've become weaker since our last incounter."
"No...*gasp*...I've just been training."
----Stadium----
Mateo was pinned down to the floor and noticed that tide was to his left.
He summoned tide into his hand and thrusted it toward his back stabbing Anara in the arm.
She jumped off of Mateo's back which was left bleeding.
Mateo got up, sweat dripped from the tip of his nose to the floor where blood could be seen.
Mateo ripped his shirt off and threw it on to the floor.
Anara's eyes were still blood red and her hair remained long, she stared at Mateo who was getting ready to attack. He ran forward and yelled out:
"Dark Aura!"
Mateo flew into the air and attacked Anara back and forth a total of 15 times till she hit the ground.
Mateo was tired out and out of breath, he stared at Anara who was getting up.
Anara raged grew, her hair stood up and she yelled out:
"Renegade!"
Anara grew an aura around her, it was red and it was engulffing her.
Mateo couldn't see what was going on inside the barrier that was created by Anara's aura.
When it had dispached a gaint ball of glowing red energy could be seen in the beserkers hand.
She lifted her arm into the sky, the energy remained in her hand, Mateo prepared himself for the attack.
Anara through the ball of energy toward Mateo, it slowly advanced toward him.
When the energy was close enough Mateo Summoned a dark sheild to protect him but it wouldn't last, the energy was to powerful for the barrier and so it shattered.
Maoteo quickly defended himself with tide, it was barely holding of the energy.
Mateo was slipping backword almost to the end of the ring but Anara started to walk toward him.
Mateo saw his opportunity and with all the strength he had left he hurled the energy toward Anara but she quickly caught it.
She too was struggling to keep it at bay.
Mateo quickly attacked her ywlling out:
"Dark Aura!"
His attacks were swift and with each hit Anara was losing control of the energy until she fell over and the energy was about to crash down on here, seeing his friend in danger, Mateo went between the attack and Anara.
We attacked it which let it to fly into the sky and creating an explosion which turned the sky red.
Anara was still lost in her rage and atacked Mateo from behind sending him to the corner of the ring.
Seeing as he couldn't bring his friend back, Mateo knew that he had to quickly finish his friend off.
Anara was charging as Mateo with incredible speeds, He stood still.
She jumped into the air ready to attack but Mateo wouldn't allow it.
Mateo disappered, Anara fell to the ground looking to find her opponent.
Mateo had jumped into the air behind Anara and before she could react, she was struck down and stabbed.
Mateo didn't move until Anara tilted her head back, he removed tide which was stained with blood.
Anara fell to the ground.
The crowd was silent until the bursted out cheering yelling the winners name.
"Your winner of this match and victor the the tournament, Mateo!" yelled out the announcer.
----Feild of Grass----
Eiyuu had been exhausted and could hardly stand on his own two feet.
Kanzen had more energy then Eiyuu so he started to advance on his opponent.
Eiyuu could do much but rase both his keyblades as a last defense.
Kanzen started striking at Eiyuu's keyblades until they both disappeared and Kanzen smacked Eiyuu down into the ground.
Eiyuu rose from the crater that was left and jumped backwords then Absolute Light appeared.
"What's happeneing?" Asked Eiyuu.
"It seems your keyblades have abandoned you, Now I'll be able to kill you without much effort."
Eiyuu fell forword till he cought himself with Absolute light, he was desperately leaning on it.
Kanzen was slowly walking toward Eiyuu with both of his keyblades, one on each hand.
Eiyuu lefted up Absolute Light off of the ground and raised it as a defense.
Kanzen started to increase his pace, Eiyuu vision was getting blurry until he was a dark aura surrounding Kanzen's chest. Eiyuu looked toward his oppontents heart and saw that it was the source of the darkness. The crest that was hanging around Eiyuu's neck the represted the guardian of light started to glow and Absolute Light had begun to grow a pulse and Eiyuu felt it, he looked at his keyblade and saw it light up with a bright aura. Kanzen now started to run toward Eiyuu.

Eiyuu saw the dark aura meet with the light and it mixed to create a mark in Kanzen's heart.

Where the darkness and light meet buyt where do I strike?[i]
Eiyuu swung his keyblade backwords and thrusted itwith all his might forward.
"Right about here!"
Waves of light flew out of the keyblade and headed in a fast velocity toward Zanzen.
He raised his two keyblades in an "X" xhape as a defense but the streams of light broke through the kayblades shattering them, the waves engulfed Kanzen throwing his backwords.
When the waves hade duspatched Kanzen coulf be seen on the ground, his clothing was torn, blood was pouring out of him.
Eiyuu looked at the ground where the markings of the light could be seen.
"Why....why can't I....kill you?" Asked Kanzen with a faded voice.
"Your goal was to rid the world of keyblade weilders that missused the power of the keyblade but it seems you couldn't even defeat the one person that was always right infront of you."
"And...who is....that?
"Yourself, Kanzen."
"I won't....I won't die here....not now.....not ever."
Kanzen rose his hand into the air and all of a sudden Neo Shadows appeared.
Eiyuu tried to fend off the Shadows but they reached Kanzen.
Eiyuu looked back to see that they wern't attacking him, they were merging with him.
The Neo Shadows continued to merge with Kanzen until darkness had engulfed him.
Kanzen rose up from the ground and had soon transofrmed into a behemoth with his outter look covered by darkness.
Eiyuu quickly attacked the behemoth but in vain, the strikes from the keyblade didn't fase him.
The behemoth struck Eiyuu sending him flying toward the stadium walls.
----Stadium----
The crowd looked at the cloudy wall that was knocked down and saw that Eiyuu, the missing fighter was there.
Mateo looked at Eiyuu and ran toward him.
"What happened?" Asked Mateo.
"Not now, we have a problem." Eiyuu responded.
The behemoth had knocked down another wall.
Mateo summoned tide and said to Eiyuu:
"Who is that?"
"That's Kanzen."
"What?!"
"He gave himself to the darkness in exchange to obtain their power."
"Well then we have to defeat him, don't we?"
"Yea."
As Mateo ran toward Kanzen, Aurie, Kayne, Keira, and Renai all rushed in to aid their friend.
Each one was attacking the beast but then they were all quickly swept away when the behemoth attacked them with it's claws.
Eiyuu got up from the ground and looked into the behemoth heart and it was covered in darkness, once again the crest started to glow and Absolut Light started to pulse but Eiyuu felt as if one attack wasen't enough. Eiyuu only had enough energy to attack once so he looked at Mateo and saw the darknessin his crest.
"Mateo!" Yelled out Eiyuu.
"What!?"
"Take this!"
Eiyuu summoned Absolute Darkness and threw it toward Mateo and he cought it while dismissing Tide.
"Look into the heart of the beast, try to find the little light that is still inside Kanzen!"
Mateo searched for it but to no avail.
"I can't find it!"
"look again!"
This time Mateo found what light was left in the beast's heart.
"I got it!"
Eiyuu ran to Mateo's side and held his keyblade firmly.
"Now, swing Absolute Darkness at where you see the light and darkness mix, the darkness will come from your pendent."
Mateo looked at his pendent and saw it emit darkness which clased with the light that was in Kanzen's heart.
"Now do it!"
Both Eiyuu and Mateo threw there keyblades behind them and thrusted them forward which let out the waves of light and darkness that were seen beffor by Eiyuu.
All of theior friends saw the attacks and quickly moved away, the attacks advanced on the behemoth striking it down.
The beast was screaming in pain as the darkness surronding it fled away.
The attacks went past the beast.
The darkness around Kanzen had disappered and Kanzen was left on the ground.
Mateo and Eiyuu walked over to the fallen keyblade weilder.
"Why....why can't I....kill you?" Asked Kanzen.
"I told you before and my answer still is the same, you gave into the darkness and now you have nothing left."
"Maybe...Maybe I don't."
A group of white mages ran toward Kanzen.
"No, Don't do anything!" Yelled Eiyuu.
"But sir, we have to save him before...."
It dosen't matter, let him be." Said Mateo.
"It's his time, we can't change that."
"Well...well I be able to see my mother?" Asked Kanzen.
"That's, I can't say." Responded Eiyuu.
Kanzen emited a light aura and in a bright flash, he was gone.
"So where do you think he's gone to?" Asked Mateo.
"I'm sure he'll meet his mother on the other side." Awsered Eiyuu.
"Here, thanks for letting me use it."
Mateo handed Absolute Darkness to Eiyuu.
"No, you helped me not the other way around."
Eiyuu's keyblades had disappeared and he fell but Mateo quckly caught him.
"Looks like you got the sh*t beat out of you, bro"
A strecher was brung to Anara who was still in the ring and the group of white mages that were still there brung Eiyuu to the infirmary.
With the announcer sill in a daze on confusion finally rected.
"Now Mateo, shall receive his prize!"
"Not now!" Said Mateo who ran off into the infirmary along with all his other friends.
"Ummmmm...okay then, the award ceremony will take place later on in the day!"

I didn't know how to end it and it might be bad and all but it's been awhile since I last typed up a chapter so cut me some slack. :)

Wow, I must be coming down with a cold or something.
It was good, not one of your best ones, but it was still a good chapter. Sorry to seem ego-tistical, but I wanted to poitn out something about Kayne. He sleeps upside down, like a bat, so he couldn't really sleep in a hotel. Who is up next btw? Because I wanted to change something about Kayne.
Not too dramatic, I just wanted his 'key-lance' to be better. It has come to my attention that a double sided keyblade isn't that great for attacking, so I plan to change it. The handgaurd will be gone and hilt will be in the center and go all the way down. It will basically be a long pole with two key's at the end, a small white oathkeeper and a larger black Oblivion.
Good chapter, but I would have to say it's not your best.

I guess I'll give the first place prize to Mateo, which was the cursed bracer if I recall right? Something about shadows that I can't quite recall.
Just tell me if you want anything in there, and I'll start it later this afternoon.
Yea I think it was that braclet but why not just give it to him without explainning much and later on just let Riku explain it.
So what am I supposed to do for my chapter then, just random filler?
How about you make it about Kayne.
Since I've focused more on Eiyuu and Mateo, you should focus it on Kayne.
I thought of something else to do.
I'll give the bracer to Mateo, and have interference from the guy who stole Kayne's enemy, who will steal the bracer, cause a rucus, and then we'll waste him, get the bracer back, and maybe even have Vecks show up, although only breifly, and we won't know it's him until he joins after. Kayne leaves on my next chapter
I needed him thou by my next chapter. :(
