I was looking at the Nintendo Power mag. at a store and in it I saw the new picture of megaman. Its at [url]www.capcom.co.jp/ryusei/[/url] the site is all in Japanese but the picture is cool. Enjoy!
Ryusei no Rockman. YAY! Last I heard, it was based 100 years after EXE. The world looks similar (that 3/4 view dealie and mugshots and everything), but the battles are... just a little different - the battlefield is the same, but turned 90 degress so the camera is BEHIND your character, facing out onto the enemy field. =O (The second link has screen shots, go look.)

One day, when Subaru is in town, he meets the class chairman Luna Shirogane, and her schoolmates Gonta Ushijima and Kizamaro Saishoin. Luna tries to persuade Subaru into coming to class, though...
"...It's bad, but, I don't really care..." says Subaru, who then leaves his classmates. Subaru then comes to an observing platform.
"If I turn this on, I wonder if I can find my father...?" When Subaru turns on the Visualizer that his father used, the "Radio Wave World" appears before Subaru's eyes! Then suddenly, a mysterious light directly hits Subaru! He faints and collapses.
When Subaru regains consciousness, the mysterious alien "Warrock" stands before him. When the Visualizer was exposed to a special "FM wave," it awoke a capability in the Visualizer which allows Subaru to see these figures.
Warrock tells Subaru that he's an "FM alien" from the FM world, and that he knows about Subaru's father. When Subaru tries to hear about his father, they're attacked by "Radio Wave Viruses" from the same planet Warrock is from! Wanting to know about his father, Subaru carrioes out a fusion as Warrock was saying - a "Radio Wave-ization," and gets wrapped up in a battle with the radio wave viruses...
As he wields Warrock, a delicate change begins to occur in Subaru's heart. Will Subaru be able to return to his upbeat self...!? And, why was Warrock attacked by the radio wave viruses!?[/spoiler]<
So, apparently, our poor hero is a little depressed. =( Maybe they're trying to take the darker feel they were trying for in the last half of the EXE series to a new level? xP
That's a really bad plot.
But the game play screenshots look interesting.
Sort of like an FPS Megaman. Maybe I'll check it out. Though it still looks like it's just another Battle Network game.

It's still a little early for me to say, "Alright, too stupid" and dump the whole thing, though I'm kinda nervous the story's going to be too weird to maintain what looks like an otherwise decent game. ^^; The idea of Subaru actually BEING the new Rockman, thanks to Warrock, is very intruiging, however.
Warrock... it's either "War Rock", or "Warlock". =/ War Rock would make more sense... well, a little, anyway. xP

*EDIT* Ah, also, as far as I can tell, the battle system uses "Card Force", which seems to replace the Battlechip system. It's used through the DS Touch Screen.

Personally, I don't like the new look. Never been fond of visors, and that wolf buster thing (which I assume is Warrock) looks weird.

I've searched this site about a half hour now just to find flame stag, and still I see no "Red Bull" :(

Tons of NetNavis didn't look a thing like their Robot Master counterparts, so of course the designs for Mavericks would radically change as well.
I just hope they don't mess with Chill Penguin if Mavericks are in this. :(

Considering he still wasn't very well known, or treated much like a hero after saving the world six times, I highly doubt Lan is cryogenically frozen.

There have barely been any elevators in MegaMan games. Only ones I can think of are in GyroMan, JunkMan, Boomer Kuwanger, Split Mushroom, and Tretista Kelverian's stages. That's five out of millions of stages.
