1. Buy the light axe and medium shield at the store right away, and equip them on your character.
2. Train at the Nesting Grounds (using the "Hunt" command) until you get to level two. Put all your points on Attack (mostly Attack) and some defense. You can do this with the "Customise Character" command.
3. Beat the "Demon" boss to get to the, er, next location. Go back to Wackoland and heal and get some potions, then move out to Rio Linda.
4. Your objective now is to train in the cave you used to get there, as well as get enough money to buy a pet at the Pet Shop in Rio Linda. Healing is free, so dont be afraid to heal often.
5. Craft items often. To do this, select "Inventory", "Components", then the item you want to craft. It will tell you how many components you need to make the item (at this point, it doesn't matter what you choose). Make the best items you can and equip them to your character. You will also need a crafting tool, which you can buy for 10 gold at Wackoland.
6. At level 8, buy Poison from the guy in Rio Linda that sells spells. Put all (or most) of your Strength points in MP and use this as your new attack.
7. Keep training until you think you can beat the final boss.
