Well, I figured out my father is a dumbass...He told me to find something better than Dial up, so I started looking for a Cable or DSL connection. Well I asked him the price range...Get this, I finally found out how much we are paying for dial up.

We have the unlimited access, so it's a base $20 a month. That's a rip off there, but we also have it on a seperate line so we can use our phone, and be on the internet at the same time. Great...With the way Etex, a local phone service, charges, we are paying around $50 a month....FOR DIAL UP.
If you look in that link you'll see Etex is charing $200 a month for a decent DSL connection speed. A connection speed Bellsouth is only charging $30 a month for, and for a connection about 20x faster for the same price...It would be great to go with Bellsouth, but it's not in this area, along with Verison, and Comcast.
Does anyone know of a good Cable, or DSL connection I may could try?

Not sure if you'd have one in your area, but my ISP, Alltel (recently renamed to Windstream Communications, apparantly) is pretty decent. I'm not sure how much our actual phone bill is, but we're paying $24.99 a month for regular DSL, with a $5 discount.
