Ok, you may know my computer is broken. Sorry if I'm breaking board rules here, but I made a new thread for this for better responses. Close/delete my other thread, please.
Alright, here's the deal. We're buying a new computer, and we don't want much. Pretty much, all we want is something that was as fast as our old one. That won't be hard, since ours was about 4 years old and custom built.
Here's what we're looking at: (they're both $300)

I'm liking the Compaq one so far, with it's 120 GB, Celeron processor, and six USB ports.
...Anyone heard of an AMD Cempron processor?
Opinions?
[NOTE: Just tell what'd be better. We don't need recommendations of other computers or whatnot. We have a monitor, keyboard, and pretty much everything (They come in bundles anyway), and all the hardware, such as XP, Office, Etc. As far as we know, all we have is a broken harddrive. =/ But, we've been longing for new stuff anyway. kthx.]
Ugh. Celeron suck.
Its sempron! And thats really tough to say.. I think the celeron would run a little faster, not sure though.
...Alright, lock thread. Or delete. Whatever.
I got the Compaq. It's pretty well right now.
I am, however, thoroughly displeased about the laptop style keyboard and my familie's decision to use it instead of our old one. :(
You could just swap them out before you use it. Or hook them both up at the same time.
