Garfield sucks.
Too true. Garfield is one of the most overrated, commercially whored cartoon characters ever. The strip lost all its originality many years ago. The fact that they had to make not only one, but two abysmal Garfield movies makes him suck even harder. And I have a confession to make: I only watched the Garfield cartoon on TV for the U.S. Acres segment in the middle. Characters like Orson the pig and Wade the duck actually had memorable personalities.
Have you seen this project where you take a Garfield cartoon and remove all of Garfield's thought bubbles? It's immediately either extremely hilarious (because the punchline isn't forced into your face) or rather sad because Jon comes off as a very lonely man talking to his cat.
that Garfield thing is scary, but not as scary as me having about every year of Nickelodeon magazine :(
