Gears of War price

It's listed as £39.99. Most 360 games are £49.99.

Is this something that's already widely known? I've anticipated a price drop for the games, around October/November to combat the PS3, and this could be a pointer to that...

What the ****? That's weird. But I guess it makes sense, it could also be the "big announcement" if this is new news. I mean, it's a good idea. They know it's going to be a huge game and it's probably going to come out around the time of the PS3. So the price drop is a good way to attract even more people.

Pretty awesome.

Crackdown is the same price.

I'm wondering if it's because they're first-party. Microsoft GS games are cheaper, aren't they?

Gears of War just got it's official North American launch date and price. It launchs on November 12 (Sunday? WTF?) and it will ship a standard version for 59.99 and Special Edition collectors for 69.99.

Is that standard pricing?

Gears of War is being published by Microsoft, meaning it should sell for 49.99. Instead, it's selling for 10 dollars higher like all 3rd party games do. So, it's a standard price for a 3rd party game, even though it's a first party game.

Hm. I wonder why it's slated for so much less over here?
