So, if you bought a PSP now, what firmware version would it be?
Most of the new models have 2.50 or 2.60. No PSPs have 2.7x preinstalled... Yet.
If, however, you have a TA-082 motherboard in your PSP, the downgrade *might* go wrong, leaving you with a brick.

mine was a 1.50 too. ill eventually downgrade it once the release is past the beta stage
Most homebrew never gets past "beta" whatever... Although, apparently the final version's gonna be out today.
Also, you need GTA for this.

Same with most people, apparently. A lot of 2.xx users just get it to run homebrew... And now, for downgrading purposes.
its funny how rockstar has silently fixed the hole in their game though. now if u buy a newer version of GTA, u wont be able to run homebrew through it. i gurantee sony pressured them into doing that. if i was rockstar, i wouldnt have fixed it... that game is selling purely for that reason
they probly got paid alot of $$$$ i am gonna down grade as soon as i find my freikin charger or buy a new one

Yep. Only ones as recent as early July though.
Worth bearing in mind. Get second-hand versions, people.
