xb360 water cooling system.

Oh lord, yet another rediculous piece of gear get.

Quoting "http://gear.ign.com/articles/714/714899p1.html": Over the 8 months or so it has been available, the Xbox 360 has developed a bit of a reputation for being prone to hardware failure. Around the IGN offices, those with a launch-360 still in working order are a serious minority, and from the general word on the internet, we're not alone in being intimately familiar with the 360's Red Eye Of Death.

Microsoft insists otherwise, but if the strong sales of 3rd party cooling solutions like Nyko's Intercooler 360 are any indication, most 360 owners are rather concerned that their console could face an untimely end. Some intrepid souls have even gone so far as to forgo air-cooling all together and have instead taken a page from high-end PC-gaming, namely water-cooling. The originators in this emerging modding contingent blazed their own trails and have produced some very impressive final products, and it was only a matter of time before attempts to commercialize water-cooling solutions began.

Actually, it's VERY useful if your 360 isn't in a well-ventilated place.

Or for the idiots who put their console on the carpet.

Or just buy the warrenty.

Posted by keyartist

Yeah but the warrenty only last a year right no use just keep it in a good safe place...like the in the box and wrap it with bubble wrap and it will live forever..but you won't be able to play it...but you'll know that it is safe.

Thats nice...and it's a good piece for people that actually having a system with ventilating problems. However, most people are stupid idiots and mis-treat their systems. All you have to do is keep them in a safe place where it can get proper ventalation

Quoting Last Fog: Or just buy the warrenty.

Yeah, man, I hear the warranty cools is off twice as well.

Oh, wait, you're a moron:cookie: The point is to keep it from overheating and hence causing inconvience rather than having to fix anyhting.

No need for insults, douchebag.

Its more convenient to just buy a warrenty in case it does overheat to the point of damage, which is unlikely since it only happens in a small portion of products, most of the time because the user doesnt take proper care (ie putting it on the carpet). Rather than pay more for a big ugly peripheral. Sure the warrenty runs out after a year, but if you have no problems by then, you probably wont afterward.

Oh, almost forgot the cookie monster to make my post cool and/or amusing. :cookie:

spoilers: the first piece of equipment out of the gates is almost as big as the 360 itself, and costs just about the same too.
