Yep, Namco announced yesterday that a Tales of Symphonia OVA is in the works. Apparently it's somewhere in [url=http://vgchat.com/showthread.php?p=285493#post285493]this article[/url] along with the announcement of a few new games, but I don't read moonscript.
Thoughts? This could turn out better than the game if the animation's the same quality as the cutscenes.

This is great. Are they continuing from the story, or is it just being redone? It'd make more sense just redoing the story, since I don't know what they could get from continuing. Well, that just made my day. :)
I bet it just redoes the story, like the Tales of Phantasia OVA did. There wouldn't really be anything to add to the story, anyways, unless they did the whole "Lloyd going on a quest to collect all the Exspheres in the world" thing, which would be really boring.
The ToP anime was kinda ... idk off. I would have liked if it that had STUCK TO THE GAME'S STORY.

Some footage has finally been released. My reactions are positive. Most of the aspects of the animation that I was worried about has been put to rest now. All I have to do is wait for it finally be out. Anyone else excited about this?
I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully it won't be only 4 episodes like the ToP anime.

I wonder how closely it follows the story of the game. I imagine it doesn't, but holds key elements from the game. Characters, locations, items, maybe music, etc.
They did ToP kind of closely... I guess.

Just 4 episodes, and it'll probably be pretty hard to find. I watched the first 3 on YouTube, and the 4th on chrunchyroll.

Looks like they're all there. I don't think I'll watch them there though. It should be pretty cheap to buy on DVD and I'd like to have it so I think I'll check out Amazon for it. I'm sure they'll have it.
