in 1989 my family got for me the control deck version and 4 games contra. ninja gaiden . WWF Wrestlemania Think it was for $240
and Mario/Duckhunt free :-D
I got the NES in 1990 (don't recall price). My first two games were Ninja Gaiden and Knight Rider, so at least 50% of my game collection was "good" at that time.
I believe it was 1987 (roughly 9yrs old), and I got the Action Set for xmas. Came with the SMB/Duck Hunt Multi-cart and zapper. As for the price, you'd have to ask Santa (think it was around $200 or so though).
And my baby is still working just as good as it did back then.
