Holy crap. Even the drum beats go together. Hopefully it can be settled without a big dispute. But what's weird is that Rick Ruben produced both "Dani California" and "Last Dance With Mary Jane". You'd think he'd notice the similarities. But I doubt RHCP caluculated and concerted it consiously.

There are too many extra notes. The bass matches better than the actual beat. The final note if the A minor - G - D (being D) is different. Sounds pretty coincidental.

I know I'm double posting but...whatever.

I forgot to mention this in my last post. Notice that the radio station quickly stops the Tom Petty song after a couple measures. The song totally changes and is nothing like Dani California.
