When I woke up this morning, I started to think about putting in some DVDs into my computer and watch them, because I never did before. I started to put my FLCL soundtrack in, to see if they came in MP3s when they started up with a DVD program. It immediately got me thinking in to putting my other DVDs in to check them out. So I went with this commercialistic punk rock DVD I had laying around for a long time after buying a Arch Enemy album, and Iced Earth dual case. Anyway, I put it in and some several slightly interesting topics, such as Japanese street racing and auto shows. This doesn

Their Megaman 2 remix is pretty awesome. It'd be cool to see these guys live sometime, but it looks like they only tour in the Arizona area.

Luckily, I have several videos of them live. They sound pretty terrible, but it's just the bad waves of amplifiers. They were playing since morning to night, ending in with their megaman stuff. It was a huge crowd. May I add, there was an asian next to the secondary guitar man.

Buxt trying to seem clever is depressing.

I heard of them as pretty **** good, checked out one of their songs (Zelda theme), not really impressed.

So, this one time, I was walking around town, and I started thinking about the essence of life in Chicago and the wonderful architecture therein. I thought it was wonderful. I put my right foot forward. I lifted my left foot. I placed it ahead of my right foot, thus completing a step. Repeating this action AD NAUSEAM!!! (it's latin, you see!) enabled me to traverse great distances with my pedular ped ped pedular ped ped pseudopodically enabled appendages (that's my feet for all you STUPID OAFS WITHOUT AN OUNCE OF CULTURE!!!!), and I decided that this was truly walking. Thinking on one's feet is a wonderful thing. I saw a restaurant called "Little Italy", and this reminded me little of Chicago. I considered the Sears Tower. Then I walked into HMV and bought a Dream Theater DVD, 'cause I'm cool like that.

I don't like them on account of absence of progressive powerish elements. I'm closed-minded like that.

"Game Over" is wayyy better.

Just try out "The Grim Reaper" (Castlevania) by them and you'll see.

No way. These guys are the best Nintendo Cover Band. By far. They do a great job of creating the music just like the original. Their Contra Cover is one of my favorite songs. And its not the like they can just get sheet music, they have to figure it out and add drums b/c the Nintendo music doesn't have drums. They are extremely talented and Game Over sucks when compared to em.

Not to me. :p

None of the stuff I've heard by the Minibosses actually has vocals, while Game Over's stuff does and resembles Power Metal type music. I'll listen to them more though.

Rant time!

- What I've listened to hasn't been anything new/interesting.
- I've always felt the point of a cover was more to explore someone else's songs in other various 'interesting' ways. *cough* Achy Breaky Heart */cough* (No, you're not supposed to get that.)
- A lot of the time, yeah you actually can just get sheet music, and it's really not very hard to figure out how to play someone's music. Especially if you have perfect pitch! :link:
- A lot of Nintendo songs do actually have drums. Even if it's something as overlooked as the little hi-hat beat that goes through the main Super Mario theme.
- Like I said, they didn't sound so talented at all to me.
- Game Over took the songs new and interesting places! :D
