What's that song?

Posted by sabre

This is basically what I was expecting "What's that song called?" to contain; so thanks to whoever made it for the inspiration.

So, you need to think of something about a song (preferably not TOO technical), whether it be lyrics, history, or a significant fact, and ask a question about it. Whoever gets it right sets the next question.

For example, "Which song was the theme tune to x?" or "Which song contains the line whatever?" Do whatever you wish with it, but please, attempt not to make it too technical or obscure. If it is getting tricky, the questioner is permitted to set clues, and if nobody gets it in three days, whoever set the question may set another.

To kick things off...

Which song contains the words "eat my ass and balls," encrypted into morse code?

Dream Theater - "In the Name of God"?

What's the name of the song released in 1970 which was quite possibly the first of the metal or rock genres to feature lyrics based on the vikings.

Lyrical excerpt:
"The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!"

Led Zeppelin - Immigrant song :)

Which progressive song contains this lyric?

"Do it now, do it now, I think you know how!"

Well since no one's answered yet, Ayreon - "Day Eleven: Love". That song brings back some fond memories, heh.

Name the band who's had two members jailed. One (guitarist) for burning churches alongside Varg Vikernes and another (drummer) put in prison for murdering a homosexual man. Also, the singer was given the "Notodden Kommunes Kulturpris" culture prize in 2002, pictured here.

Yeah you're correct.

I guess I'll post another since you didn't :p

"You know just who I am
don't be so distant
cause when you're lost
I am so be there
to share your grief

...

But when the lights are down
there's no more to say
leaving the shadows
(...)
Cause when the lights are down
should take me away
tell me your real name
in the death we live the love we never had"
