That's a map of 65,000,000 BC from the prerelease rom of Chrono Trigger.
Notice anything... Strange? (Look to the east.)
Eh? What the heck is that... a face-rock?
Can you enter that place or is it just for show?
You can't enter it from the world map, but there are offset codes which allow access to a dungeon which was cut from the final version of the game. Interestingly enough, the music remains - The track is labelled as "The Singing Mountain".
Also, here's a beta map of 2300 AD - Look to the bottom-left.
Ah... what the? Is this another secret dungeon or a cut portion from the final?
Compared to everything thing else in that period, it looks like an untouched structure. Interesting.
There's a location in the memory of the final version of Chrono Trigger that doesn't point to anywhere - "Robot Village". I'm assuming that's what that building was originally meant to point to, but it's just conjecture...
Robot Village eh? Probably might have had some backstory on Robo had it existed. Which would have been nice because all we know about it is that it had a lot of brothers, and they hated humans if I remember.
Those are some neat finds.
poo @ square... then need to stop that lol. i love CC and this annoys me
