LANDesk Remote Control?

Posted by NES Queen

noticed a new icon pop up in my system tray today on my work computer. when i double clicked on it i got this. any idea what it is?

is it just a harmless program the IT guys installed to troubleshoot my PC remotely, or is it another way for them to spy on me throughout the day and watch what i'm doing?

It looks like a remote view/control application. It probably lets them watch whatever you're doing/ make changes on your computer.

Chances are that its just there for them to remote fix problems, unless you have some sort of rep for wasting time or something.

so they have to initiate a connection with me first before they can go in and access stuff, right?

not that i'm doing anything wrong (aside from occasionally frequenting this place, which, for some odd reason, isn't blocked by their chat filter), but its frustrating. when i worked in the lab i got in trouble for "excessive internet usage". turns out i was leaving IE open when i would go and do tests and since i had launchcast playing in the back it was logging me as actively using the internet for hours on end. then they blocked launchcast. and aim. and aim express. and myspace.... but not vgc.

anywho, i was just curious.
