I searched the forum and didnt find what I was looking for but I wanted to ask, is there a place that hands out demos or can I get them in the mail or something from say like sony or how do you guys get them?

Demos are either usually sold with other games or given out with certain magazine subscriptions. I don't really know of a place that just hands them out though. You can also buy jampacks for like five dollars if you see games that you want to check out.
Yes, I used to see the Jampacks in stores, but I haven't seen any new ones for quite some time. As Inferno said, magazines usually have demo discs which you can check out. You can always check out Ebay, or store websites to order discs from.
Certain game stores may carry them. Assuming you want them bad enough, you could ask to buy a copy off them. Otherwise, magazines or if you have a modded PS2, a torrent site.
