You are wrong. It all happens in the mind, because your brain is what controls your body. Most if not all of what turns people on is completely psychological.
For example, many women find power extremely attractive and would sleep with the MD of a company or a politician despite the fact that they might not be physically attractive, because they feel like they're getting with some kind of "alpha male".

Sexual attractivity and intelligence are both subjective. Like Fate said, physical attraction is a lust quality. It doesn't significantly make a relationship stronger, but in terms of sexual attraction, it's usually what people get turned on by.
