One of My fav RPG's of all time. Plotwise, it even rivals the newer RPG`s of 2day. This is one of the rare gems ppl have been sleepin on for the snes along with dozens of others. Square shuld have released it worlwide.

Never came out in America, so I've not played it yet. I wish it had, though...
I get bored too fast if it's on the emulator. Emulated games just never seem to enthrall me like playing it on the actual system.
I feel ya.
So what style of play is it? Is it similar to FFT/FFTA, except involving mechs instead of straight-up people?
Front Mission is like a combination of Shining Force and Final Fantasy Tactics. The battlefield is a 3/4 view field of decorated tiles, and the battles take place in a separate animated sequence. When compared to other tactical rpg's that were available on the market, this game was years ahead of the competition
