Fully orchestral Blind Guardian album planned for 2008

A whole album of Harvest of Sorrow? Sweet.

As long as they use a real orchestra, of course - instead of that half-synth sound on A Night At The Opera. We've got a while to wait though - but I'm expecting good things from the new album later this year, too. I thought Fly was a pretty good song, if different.

Oh, and that's from the full interview with Andre Olbrich here.
Why is Oliver Holzwarth mentioned as a guest musician? Isn’t he a full member of the band?
He is not a full member; he will stay as a guest musician, as our keyboard player. We don’t want to become a big band with six or seven members involved in the compositions. We want to stay as a four guys set up. He also plays in other bands and they are all important to him. If you are a full member of Blind Guardian, you must only focus on this band.
Odd thing to say, when Hansi's in Demons & Wizards. >_>

I was really impressed by the single. Fly and Skalds & Shadows are such different songs and both really good, so I've got high hopes. And the 2008 album is even better yet.

Sounds pretty lame. :/

Quoting Klarth: Sounds pretty lame. :/

I've got to agree.

And "Fly" sounds pretty damn awful. It's repetitive, predictable, and pretty typical of Blind Guardian. Usually that's a good thing with them because it give it that sing-a-long vibe; but it just didn't appeal to me for some reason. Who knows, maybe their next full-length album will impress me more.
