Massive Wii Developer interview

Posted by Speedfreak

There's an interview up on IGN with the manager of EAs Wii Studio, they talk mainly about Madden but they also branch out to more general Wii talk.

Lots of interesting tidbits here, but the main one is that he confirms that there is, in fact, a motion sensor in the nunchuck component. No need for 2 controllers after all!

John Schappert: Are you? Are you a Nintendo fanboy?
IGN Wii: Yes, indeed.
John Schappert: I'm a Nintendo fanboy, too.
IGN Wii: Fantastic.

Thought that was funny.

Wait, there was a time when people thought the system needed two controllers for the games to work?

Some games MIGHT "require" two controllers. ie the new DBZ game. They're thinking of using two controllers to pull off the combos and famous moves from the TV show.

Yeah, I read this and it took my name off the name Wii. I hate EA/Sports games, but even this, because of the FHC, made me a bit interested.
