April Fools Day is in just one month. Got ideas on the fake Super Mod/Admin?!
Here's my idea. Nominations for two weeks on Community board. Then members vote for one week (n00bies like Evanc00le0 or members that are power hungry, in poll). Then we vote here for one week and once the April Fools MONTH chaos is over, they become fake Super mods/Admin for X days. :D:D:D:D:D:D
This has been done twice before, hasn't it? I'd suggest something a bit more original, but I've got nothing.
Shade32, Inzo, and Prince Redon would all be fitting for the "fake supermod/admin" category, I think. Maybe Fallen would also fall under that, as well. As I think of more people, I'll suggest them... those four are the main members that I think deserve it, honestly.
Then again, I'm not 100% sure... just throwing out random suggestions and such. It'll be interesting to see what other ideas are made in this thread...
Edit: Oh, and I can definitely not forget Mr. Smith and Map42892 for the "fake admin" category, haha.
Yeah, whatever, sounds good. I was thinking maybe something a little less... already done before, but that'll do.

Something new and improved, mass banning. Make a massive list of members that will be banned come April 1st, put them all into a panic. Throw some moderators on the list so it doesn't appear too fishy, then make the main page a "We're sorry, your IP address/username has been denied access to this site. Please contact your internet provider or attempt a login here:," message. The only way to get in would be to type some sort of password handed out between members in the joke, and moderators.

That is an awesome idea, and so simple to pull off too. Simply move the whole forum to a directory no one could ever think of, such as /78536485768/ (random number) and put a serious message on the front page blocking the forum. It can all be done in a simple PHP script. :cool:
Actually, an easior thing that I'll do that I thought of a few weeks ago when this really happened with another site, about taking the site down is replace the index page with a MMPA notice site saying the site was shut down for downloading illegal moviews like Pokemon, The Wizard, Final Fantasy and Mortal Kombat. That will be much easior than banning every one and moving the boards, and of course it will panic a LOT of members since it looks so real. :D:D:D:D
And every year with the Super Mod stuff, many members think it's real. If a Super Mod creates the nomination and poll threads, they will probably be more likly to believe it. If you talk to Bjarni on AIM, try to get him back. I would love to have him become the fake Admin!! :D:D:D:D:D:D
How about something corny, like some sort of script to reverse the letters in everyones usernames.
If you're unlucky enough to not be logged in, you'd have to type your name in backwards.

Jesse, you don't have to ban every member. It's rather simple: you just make the main page look something like this (don't talk about how shoddy the work is, I did it in about 30 seconds):

I kinda like this idea, despite the fact that anything containing the date "April 1st" is automatically fishy around here. =3 If the fake SuperMod/Admin thing is something a certain wacko someone has their heart set on, it could also be taken it a step further - get a fake Super Mod/Admin, and then blame the "mass banning" on them. It'd kinda stretch out April Fools for poor Jesse, too - wouldn't want to deprive him of his April Fools Month. XD

Here's an idea, maybe not one that'd be real popular...
The url [url]www.vgchat.com[/url] will redirect you to one that's less of a give-away, and on the page will be something along the lines of "Click here for unlimited hardcore XXX..." et cetera, plus some suggestive pictures. Clicking the link, however, will produce a huge picture of Jesse's face with that farting noise, or the clip of him reading his signature.
May not have the month-long effect he's looking for, though.

Add a board called "Sex Board" to the forum list around 22nd March, and make it look reaaaally serious. Sticky called rules, a couple of threads, what have you. But every mod should take it seriously -- don't post pictures or anything, but make completely stupid threads and respond to them stoically, as if it was normal business. Keep the rules in there pretty strict, though. Make a poll in the mod board for it, too, so if anyone thinks "this has got to be a joke," we can make it look as though it's there to stay. Then remove it come April Fools'.
Alternatively, you could make a couple of game boards dedicated to really shat games; almost making fun of GBA. Or, pretty much everything with the Sex Board, only name it "Disgusting Things You've Eaten Board" -- Disgusting Things being slightly more obvious, and as such slightly funnier if people see us taking it seriously. I could imagine a whole number of "WHAT THE HECK"s arising from people posting in it like it was normal.
Changing the board colour scheme again would be good, but make it contrasty colours as opposed to pink.
Joke forums, like a sex forum, would be better than what I had in mind. I'd be all for that.
Some Super Mod make the nomination thread, and then we can talk about other ideas we don't want non-mods knowing about. BTW, Evanc00le0 can't view this board now. Before making this thread I changed him back to the 'Members' group.
add the sex board, with subforums like STDs, porn, and "alternative sex". Rules should be something along the lines of "mentioning contraception more than twice in a thread results in a permanent ban", or something equally fascist.
Underneath that, add the "disgusting things you've done with your food" board, the Furry board, the Dream Theater board, and the "(wacko) sucks" board. Insane.
Sex Board, Furry Board and Disgusting Things You've Done With Your Food are all good; much more is overkill, though. No subs for sex. Do this all before April Fools', and then keep it until the 7th April.
er porn is a no no!!!!! How about we make a lot of game boards for not so populer games like Arkanoid, Boulder Dash, Bubble Bobble, Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode, Jackal, Joust, Karnov, Paper Boy, Pong, Qix, River City Ransom, Sesame Street: ABC/123 :D, Spot, Trojan, Yoshi's Cookie. Then delete them on April 15th.
And post on that Nomination thread to help convince people that it's real!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Working with the sex board here, is it possible to make fake accounts to make false posts, then delete said accounts after we're done with this? That way people think they're just newbies with problems? I mean, go in depth, making an intro thread and a few posts here and there in other forums first, then have this "person" post some strange sex problem? I don't know why this thought just occurred to me, but it did. LOL.

On the subject of the fake supermods, I say we should mod one decent member and one retarded one (or multible) to make the effect better. For past two years, some noob has become S-mod somehow. It would look kind of...reused. Anyhow, I'm all for the fake boards. Sounds good.

Move sex board to main page, and add all the dead game boards.
March 29th: Change the index page to http://www.vgchat.com/mpaa/ for about 12 hours.
April 1st to whenever (no longer than a week, please. a day or two at most preferably): Do whatever it is you do for April Fools' which isn't covered elsewhere.
April 7th: Delete this particular april fools' thread, and add the super moderators.
April 9th: Remove super moderators.
Aptil 10th: Lock sex board, remove dead system boards.
Is there anything else?

Linkman, your idea would work if they all linked to a PHP script via a form. Have each 'ENTER HERE' have a different value, but not a revealing one, then the PHP script would check it and return 'WINNER!' or 'LOSER!'. I could code it.

New idea: On April Fools Day, as soon as people start woundering why nothing is being done, I make a thread confessing the 'errors of my ways', and 'admit' that being a messed up wacko on crack is wrong and TRY to make them think I'll never be a wacko again, if that's even possible. Then the next day I do the MPAA stuff, and the chaos stuff on the 5th and 6th.
