Super Famicom Wars

I acquired the BS version of this game last night, and although all the dialogue, instructions and descriptions are in Japanese, I can't help but love the game. For those of you not in the know, it's the game that the doubleplusgood GBA/DS series Advance Wars is based on. If you've played any of the three handheld versions, you'll probably enjoy this.

Anyone else played?

Played it, loved it. Still prefer AW2 though.

Advance Wars 2 was awesome, but the campaign was pretty lacking- Dual Strike for teh win.

Anyway, I was playing AWDS this morning, and noticed about 3/4 of the versus maps are based on those featured in the campaign mode of Famicom Wars. I guess it leaves a larger legacy than it likes to let on.

Gr8 game. I own it, too bad it's in japanese tho...

Nintendo should have released this in the U.S and Europe. It's like alot of ppl missed out on sum real gems.
