HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

Every 10-60 seconds i get a virus trhingy pooping up sayg that i have just been hit with backdoor.trojan. Anyone know how to stop this?!?!?!?!?! By the way it keeps regenrating itslef or something because everytime it pops up it always says located in " C:\WINDOWS\ntlh32.exe "

Try actually opening ntlh32.exe and if it's not a program you could use, delete it.

Restart your computer and while it is booting up hold F11. This should take you to a selection screen. Select Safe Mode and boot up to windows that way. San your computer using [url=http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php]AVG Free[/url] and delete what it tells you to. If u scan for for viruses does it say anything about it?

PORN FIEND!!! jk man. Actually i was just infected with one last week. I just reformatted my computer. I saved all documents to floppy. not the most convieniant thing but it gets it done.

[COLOR=Orange][FONT=Comic Sans MS]OMG! G-Sides are you stupid? Don't open a trojan! Try running Norton or what ever you have. If nothing is found delete anything you downloaded around the time this started. Trojans are usually hidden in *cough* porn, screen savers, cursors, movies, etc. Just delete anything you downloaded recently even if you don't think it has the trojan. I know a lot about computers so if this doesn't work tell me and i will think of something else.[/FONT][/COLOR]

Press ctrl-alt-del, and if you have WIndows XP, go to the processes and end the process called ntlh32.exe . Then go and delete it.

try spybot if AMG doesnt work. try restarting in Safe mode after Spybot has tried to remove it (it should ask if it can do this if spybot cant get rid of it while its still running).

Trogans are programs that hide behind files or programs and sits there doing bad things to your computer (such as throwing up stupid messages every 10 seconds)

If you know how to use the registry editor, you can probably remove it.

First off, select 'run' and type 'regedit'. The registry editor pops up. Now, go throught the following folders: hkey_local_machine > software > microsoft > windows > current version > run. In this folder, look for a key for the file name you mentioned earlier. Delete that key. Now, do the ctrl + alt + del thang, and end the virus process. Now, go to the location of the virus, and delete it. Now restart your computer and it should be gone.

EDIT: Oh, and until then, you might want to get a firewall or something to stop this program from connecting to the internet. Depending on what it is, people could be recording your passwords or even have total control over your PC.

i re-installed windows

w00t i mean long time to do. I firstly put in the linux CD without noticing and this is at 1 in the morning because i drank a couple energy drnks half an hour ago..... then i did it again. Then i finally got it right and installed everything. I just installed the last thing i need- my video drivers.

A trojan is a type of virus. It can execute itself and is usually hidden in things you download of the internet or emails you recieve. It you get one, DON'T OPEN IT!!! Read this:

If you are stupid enough to get one on your computer, then run an anti-virus or something. Norton, Mcafee, anything. That'll get rid of it. If you get a message indicating a file, just delete it. Try going into the registry and deleting all the entries that mention the file. That should stop it. Otherwise, just do what other people in the thread have said.
