4.) Current 93 - Hey, if this is your thing, go for it. I can't stand it though.

Dimmu Borgir - is retired Judas Priest riffs and ripped off black metal cliches such as, bad band pictures, constant bass blasts, the counting down on "Puritania" which is a direct 'homage' to Bathory on "Holocaust", their references to every major bm band that came before them ("Pure ****ing Armageddon" anyone?", and the jesus slingshot picture which comes from Celtic Frost's "To Mega Therion" album. Even their symphonic style is an uninspired, pop-ish version of Emperor. And don't give me that "tribute" bull****, they ****ed up "Satan My Master" and that's just wrong. Stick to Stormblast, For All Tid, and even EDT.
2.) Cradle of Filth - Dani sounds like my neighbor's little yelping chihuahua that won't shut the **** up. The newest material sounds like glorified pop music with a gothic twist. Plus, they probably ****ed up "Woman of Dark Desires" and THAT'S just wrong. I haven't even heard it, but just the idea depresses me.
1.) Bright Eyes - Never date an ultra emo, pretentious artfag or any of her friends. I've been with 2 girls who adored this group and I don't thing I could stand another listen.
5) 50 Cent for being an overplayed and undertalented artist riding on the fame of being shot (I'm more ****ed that he didn't die) and the fact that he's backed by more famous Hip-Hop artists. Also, he looks like a horse that got kicked in the face.
4) Green Day for turning away from their originality and going mainstream. Not just sending their music out to be more popular, but changing their style AND the way they look, act, and present themselves. Makeup is for girls you faggots. Except for KISS, because KISS is just ****ing cool.
3) Yoko Ono. Rusted nails being drug across a blackboard sound better than her.
2) Emo bands for taking a good thing too far and then changing it completely. It's fine if you're in touch with your emotions, it's just that no one gives a ****.
1) And last but not least, one of my favorite bands that just decided they'd suck, Linkin Park. They dissapointed me from the moment they released that remix album, and I knew, their potential for being awesome just plummeted. I do have to say, a couple songs from Meteora were good (Faint, for example), but the rest were horrible, and almost all their music videos were pure ****, no talent involved at all (except Breaking the Habit, which is a HORRID song anyway).

MetalVox, I'm just wondering - have you heard the song Unretrofied by The Dillinger Escape Plan? That song is actually very melodic; it's almost synthpop. Apart from that song, I don't like them at all, but yeah, it doesn't consist of a lot of random screaming so you're not totally right about them.

It deliver's more than what people expect.
Take country for instance, if I went to see some country artist perform, I would like it to be a sunny, dry, day. If it's not country like, then I won't enjoy it.
If I went to see an emo/screamo concert it would have to be in a small (local) area with scensters jumping all over the place throwing fists in the air. Just bring a stage presents to the stage/floor.
If it's a rap concert, I'd like it up in your face action.
If it's pop then I find a chick to date.
Oh by the way people from my Highschool hates Coldplay, and quite frankly, I enjoy the sounds of Cold Play, U2, and some easy listenings. Most people in my school listen to hip-hop, country, and pop-punk.

It's a waste of time to hate interchangable manufactured pop confections because they're a product, not a serious musical enterprise, far removed from the realm of serious musical fandom. It's also a waste of time to hate rap and hip hop as it's so far outside my chosen genre that I recognise that I probably haven't heard much/any of the good stuff (and hey, Outkast are pretty good). Same goes for electronica/dance etc, which as a genre I give the benefit of the doubt. Hating country music is like hating Opera or Yiddish Folk Music.
The worst artists and bands are those that portray sh*tty mutated variations of trends and styles I like... for example: Coldplay sometimes get associated with Radiohead for being mopey and British, and if you squint and labotomise yourself, it's possible to confuse accoustic-college-rock-gargle-warble with anything from Dylan to Jeff Buckley to the Mountain Goats. Therefore this ****e is actually on the cusp of being credible and accepted by people who don't know any better and must be especially opposed.
