Some good examples of what we could be seeing in PC gaming in as little as a year. Depth of field, motion blur etc should make things a little interesting.

WAY too much blur, and depth is only blurring the gun, OOOO exciting! It's not adding anything new (Black's already doing depth, PDZ's already doing blur), and will probably just cause more motion-sickness and headaches.


The only thing I look forward to that's Valve related is all of the new HL2 independant games coming out soon (ie. The Hidden).

Neither are too interesting for me in the immediate future, seeing as how I cant even run hl2 as it is now. Asking more of my videocard would jsut make it die.

It'll probably turn out a lot like soft-focus, or the blur you see in games like SotC. It's nice, helps the game run smoother, but it gets annoying after awhile.
