See what it says in its place? It was too long. I'm pretty sure there was a rule on signature limits, but it probably got erased during the last upgrade.

psh, probably a super mod edited it because it was too long. I forget what your sig was, but whatever it contained, editing it really doesn't merit a warning first - if I see a sig I define as long, I edit it. This instance wasn't me, but really it's entirely a "by eye" thing; you should just take the time to be more careful about how large you make it.

I make mine large sometimes, but I always save all the links and stuff.

IMO, if a sig is too long, a S-mod or regular mod should at least ask the member to modify it first. If the member doesn't comply, then use force.
