In multiplayer, each person starts with a standard weapon, but they can go around searching for other weapons like missiles and such. Noxus's morphball form is a spinning top that can run over foes. Spire changes into a boulder that crushes people. Sylux deploys blades that travel along beams of energy in its morphball form. Kanden turns into a worm whose tail can home in on something and explode on contact. Trace turns into a three legged spider-like thing that can lunge at enemies and apparently almost become invisible. Weavel's torso seperates from his legs and becomes a stationary turret.
The modes are Battle, which is free for all. Survival is the same thing with a limited amount of lives. Bounty is like Halo's neutral flag; you find the Octolith and take it back to base. Defender is basically king of the hill, where you defend a special circle for as long as possible. Prime Hunter is Halo's juggernaut; whoever kills the prime hunter becomes it. Capture is basically team CTF, except you capture Octoliths (Yay, team games). Nodes is like land grab or three plots from Halo.
This game looks amazing, and I'm glad they ahve so much.
Judging from what you said, I'd guess you just got this month's NP issue?
I'm pretty sure people'll start discussing Hunters when the release date gets nearer.
People aren't talking about it because there's not enough new information.

There you go.
Thanks for posting those. I wonder if you pilot you ship when you travel from planet to planet. Probably not, but that'd be cool.
Highly doubt it.
But yeah, that's a feature I think quite a few fans have wanted for awhile.
I've heard you could, actually.
In some interview at GameSpot. :)
Really?! I wonder how deep it is...
Probably just some short side-thingies :(
Probably...
But yeah, you better get it at launch, eh?
You better believe it! ;)
Same goes for you! :o
I think it'd be cool to be able to go to "sidequests" or encounter pirate ships in space. It's wishful thinking, but I doubt it'll happen.
You shoot down other space pirates and confront them in when they land, actually.
When flying between planets there should be a 1% chance of the Star Fox group appearing and fighting you... or maybe Captain Falcon...
... >_>;
*Gets hit by a brick*
Hell I'm down with that.
Well, Metroid has voice chat. Don't get excited/bummed. There is voice chat only before and after the game, not while your playing. I actually think this is cool. It's a step towards more xbox live-esque online (minus the fees, of course). Plus, at least we can talk with ease, and during multiplayer games it will still have that sense of isolation without being able to talk to each other. Oh, and in some places temporary downloadable content will be available.
Metroid Hunters is becoming so cool!
Meh, I hate talking in lobbies.
Lol, i'll scream to yee in Russian! :o
Hahaha, that alone warrants a purchase of the game.
Aye, i'll scream like a squirell too! :cool2:
God, I need to get the Wi-Fi thing. CLAN, RAWR!
Lol@VGC@MP:H@LOL.
Vegans
But I like meat. :(
Looks like metroid hunters is going to turn out pretty well... But the idea of plans or team strategy in it will... Not exist, unless you come up with it in the lobby.
I predict most people's strategy will be as follows.
1. Get hands on sniper.
2. Haul *** to a sniping point.
Sniping is so very overrated. Why do people think 'OMFG I snipe I r0x0rs'?
I played the demo and it sucked. Not to mention I wasn't very excited by MP 1 or 2, and MP Hunters has akward controls.
Then go back to your 360.
I have to say that voice chat is going to be quite kickass. This is a big step up from Mario Kart wi-fi, where there was no way to communicate with the other players.
Can you connect a headset to the DS?
Sniping should be less of a "uber-weapon" in this game... imagine how hard it would be to hit someone strafing towards you in Morph Ball mode.
Plus, there aren't headshots, as far as I know.
Yes, there are.
[quote=SomebodyRandom]I played the demo and it sucked. Not to mention I wasn't very excited by MP 1 or 2, and MP Hunters has akward controls.
This game doesn't play like MP 1 or 2, and the controls have been improved since the demo. Not that they were hard to begin with, my Dad (a non-gamer) could play it.
Learn about game plz.
Cue Darkbackward backlash.
stfu SR lol.
Actually, I don't know if the sniper weapon is something you can get. I think it's just what Trace uses when he goes into his "morphball form," which is a turret.
I really hope that bombs do more damage then in the demo. Ever try beating the Regulator boss completely in Morph Ball mode? It's quite difficult...
[quote=Speedfreak]Yes, there are.
Hmm. You're right, but I don't think it's instant death like in other games. Anyways, you can't headshot a Morph Ball (at least I think you can't).
It rhymes!
And the truth ALWAYS rhymes
I'll just Boost Ball around until I find a sniper, then beat them with it. I don't think anyone could hit a Boost Ball traveling a zig-zag path with a sniper.
Will there be Energy Tanks in this game? I'd like to have more than 99 Energy during fights.
[quote]Will there be Energy Tanks in this game? I'd like to have more than 99 Energy during fights.
Probably, because it was in the demo. Heck, that was actually a problem, because someone (usually me) could get 3 or 4 full energy tanks, and would be virtually impossible to kill. I rember one guy yelling at me because he had hit me with 10 double damage missles and I still killed him.
lol, now I have an image of my head of all the hunters lugging RPGs around.
Charged Diffusion Missles.
Yeah, that would work.
Hm, im not sure if there's a sniper rifle. I suspect it's Weavel in his turret (morphball) mode.
Although that shotgun weapon seems awesome. I hope its available in single player.
edit:Never mind, i ugess it is a weapon you can get. I saw a video with Trace using it.

...I need to get my DS fixed...
No space flights; the developers considered doing it, but they had to take it out :(
I want this game bad.
Well, in only 19 days, it can be yours.
hey.
im waiting for the new legend of zelda game to come out
wrong thread.
Man, Sylux is really hard to fight when you are using sylux too. Because all you do is wait for the other person to run out of ammo. You can dodge, but then they'll aim at you again and you keep draining/gaining life. Trace is annoying too, becuase his triskel is so hard to hit with the shock coil.
I was a super bounty hunter, but then my rank dropped, so I fought my friends to get back up. They really suck at the game :-p
SO WHY ISN'T ANYONE TALKING ABOUT METRIOD PRIME HUNTERS?
