I scored a 330. Much better than I thought I would do, considering I was brought up during the SNES era.

570.
I missed the "sprites" question and the one about 'Mega Man 5' (and one other one I don't remember).

I got a few lucky guesses correct too.

490. Not bad, I'd have hoped I would have done better, though.

And I really got a 480, but I'm giving myself credit for accidentally hitting "Hogan's Heroes" when I knew full well the game was "Hogan's Alley."

I got 320.

However, they were wrong about something.

They said that SMB2 is called Doki Doki Panic in Japan, but that's not true. Doki Doki Panic was made into SMB2 for the USA, but then in Japan, they released our SMB2 under the name "Super Mario USA".

got the one about the sound channels wrong and clicked the wrong answer on another

Okay, but Baz, am I right about the whole SMB2 thing?

In Japan, isn't SMB2 called "Super Mario USA"? I mean, I know it's obviously Doki Doki Panic, but don't they have a game exactly like our SMB2?

True, but beforehand it was Doki Doki Panic.

Heh. I know what you mean, but I didn't touch anything other than a NES (neighbour's) and a C64 (brother's) before I got my N64, which is why I'm kind-of-very-vaguely-versed in the NES's technicalities.

yes you are correct mate, doki doki panic was released in 1986 on the famicom disk system, it then in turn became our super mario bros 2 (after a slight alteration changing characters and what knot)... then in 1992 the game we know as super mario 2 was released in japan as super mario usa on the famicom

Better than I thought I would do.:D

320, which is pretty good, seeing how little I've played on one.
