I have been trying to download 2.60 on my psp. I followed the directions completely, saved it onto a file named 'update' under the 'game' file. It takes up memory space but when I look at the system settings it says I still am using 2.01. Can anyone help me out?
Do network update, don't do the download from the net method. It has a few faults, and your antivirus software can mess with it.
Why you would want to upgrade to 2.6 though, I have no idea.
He's upgraded to 2.01 already. Stupid sod.

If it's still under warranty, I guess he could microwave it for a few seconds and take it back... It's what all the guys on QJ forums do whenever they brick/upgrade a PSP, apparently.
Hmm...none of the people on there that I've heard have really done that, but that's a REALLY good idea. I'll have to try it next time I brick someone's.
EDIT: The amount of "really" in that renders the whole things idiotic.
