BEST RPG EVER
Why?
It has a lot of story, good gameplay, good replayability, ability to move around and do lots of things, and was made at a time when none of this was common. It also has a wide diversity of characters to choose and use, cross-character skills, a need for actual strategy to beat the bosses, and incentive to replay beyond just doing it a different way. I loved CT. I thought the SNES FF's were better, but CT wasn't far behind. It has excellent replay value because you can fight the last boss at almost the beginning of the game, if you're strong enough. Or you can choose to do the numerous side quests and there are so many endings depending on how and when you beat the game.
I love it for being a great RPG, yet I hate it for having time travel stuff (It hurts my head, and makes me think more than necessary.)
Chrono Trigger is one of my all time fav games. I remember when I first got it. It cost around $10 more than the other games at the time, but the artwork and the developer had sold me on it. I had known nothing about the game before I walked into the store. Best impulse buy ever!

[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3][COLOR=#000000]The chrono trigger resurrection prodject was purly created by a man who loved the game and super Mario 64(back when that was the big graphic game) and though of combining the 2. After much work he managed to create some 3d images of Crono and such, after some cpu crashing he didn’t get involved till Chrono Cross inspired him to get back into his game. And them with 7 other fans, worked upon creating Chrono Trigger Resurrection! [/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]

Besides Chrono Cross(Which suks compaired to Chrono Trigger…) they didn’t do anything to it. Even though Square got onto the GBA they put FF on there before CT.. However there is word about the revolution being able to download old SNES games(hopfuly they’ll be smart and add Chrono Trigger)[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]

Yeah, it was a shame this got cancelled and all, but I really don't think CT was the "BEST GAME EVER". Great music, great plot, great battle system, but lacklustre character design. Xenogears anyday pls.
I'd -love- CT if they remade CC [keeping the original storyline] and sold them in the same package.
Chrono Trigger was and still is a good game, but it's highly overrated. I honestly don't find what's so great about it that makes it the "BEST GAME EVER" though.
