Mix CD - By Track Number

Posted by sabre

I borrowed parts of the concept from someone else, for the record. By borrowed, I do of course mean stole, and by parts, I mean much.

Anyway, the bit I stole is this: Make a mix CD of up to fifteen tracks, but the catch is you can have only one track of a certain number, with unlimited running time. For example, if you wanted to put Rush's YYZ onto your mix CD, you would not be able to also have The Trees, as they are both of the same track number on their respective CDs. When it comes to double albums, split albums, etc., then so long as you can justify that it qualifies as a certain track number, you can have it. We are -not- including live releases. You can only use two tracks by any one artist.

Alternatively, you could try making a CD entirely of a single track number - for example, a CD full of track sixes.

1. Porcupine Tree - Deadwing (Deadwing)
2. Dream Theater - Caught In A Web (Awake)
3. Rush - Closer To The Heart (A Farewell to Kings)
4. Angra - Carolina IV (Holy Land)
5. Therion - Lemuria (Lemuria)
6. Frameshift - Push The Button (An Absence of Empathy)
7. Devin Townsend - Wild Colonial Boy (Infinity)
8. Dream Theater - Octavarium (Octavarium)
9. Angel Dust - First In Line (Enlighten the Darkness)
10. Angel Dust - Cross of Hatred (Enlighten the Darkness)
11. Ayreon - Day Eleven: Love (The Human Equation)
12. Helloween - The Dark Ride (The Dark Ride)
13. Blind Guardian - Time Stands Still (Nightfall in Middle-Earth)
14. Ayreon - Evil Devolution (Into the Electric Castle)
15. Frameshift - Above The Grass (Part 2) (Unweaving the Rainbow)

And I'm going to do a track 1 CD, too, for an example.

1. Dream Theater - The Root Of All Evil (Octavarium)
2. Geddy Lee - My Favorite Headache (My Favorite Headache)
3. Rush - Dreamline (Roll The Bones)
4. Porcupine Tree - Deadwing (Deadwing)
5. Dream Theater - A Fortune In Lies (When Dream and Day Unite)
6. Frameshift - Human Grain (An Absence of Empathy)
7. Within Temptation - Mother Earth (Mother Earth)
8. Spock's Beard - At The End Of The Day (V)

The original concept - which I stole - was a mix CD all by one band, and you could only do one of each track number.
