Need advice.

Hey, I recently completed the top and some drawers for this desk I got at Goodwill that I fixed up. Now I have the right side drawers and the sides left to do. The sides I have figured out, but the drawers. I kind of ran out of characters.

So far ideas I have are Kirby, an 8-bit version of Link, a Link to the Past concept art Link, Pacman following a string of pellets to a blue ghost (Thanks, Sabredog!! :)), a metroid, and that's it so far. Any ideas you might have, try to keep them to the theme. I have mostly classic stuff on the drawers, so characters from World of Warcraft(Skitzo Control :mad: ) aren't going to work. Give me your ideas, and I'll post the completed drawers later. Thanks a lot!!

Well, I'd say the pacman and kirby ones are great choices. But I'd also say that doing some tetris blocks would be pretty cool too! Or perhaps someone from Street Fighter, like Ryu or Blanka or Zangieff(the most famous russian I might add).

Pikachu's overrated, I think, because so many little kids just looove him. Although a pokemon is a good idea. And I forgot to mention that Master Chief and Samus Aran incidentally are WAY too cool even to go on top of the desk, so they are each getting an entire side. :cool:

That desk is awesome. O.O And it has MegaMan, MegaMan X and Zero! That increases it's awesomeness ten-fold. XD

I do agree with the suggestions of Tetris blocks and Kirby, though. ^^ You already have Mario, Luigi, and Bowser, so I don't know if you want more Mario characters, but what about Toad and/or Peach? Or a Goomba. Goombas are cute. :3 Or even better - a METOOL! Everybody luffs Metools. X3 Not a Mario character, but... um...

Good suggestion. I had thought of adding a servbot. Correct me if I'm wrong... They are basically the same thing, right? X3 and X4 are the only ones I ever played in depth. >_<

Alrighty, so far I've got Kirby, an 8-bit Link, a Link to the Past concept art of Link, a Windwaker concept art of Zelda (contributed recently by ExoXile), Pacman following a string of pellets to a blue ghost, a metroid larva, tetris blocks, Ryu or Blanka, Adol, a pokemon, a goomba, and a metool. This is a great list. I appreciate all the feedback!

As soon as Christmas is over and the new year begins, I'll work at finishing my drawers. Then when this thread is long forgotten I'll post the finished product, with a credits list of who contributed, so look out for your names!!

I'll be checking on this thread if anyone else comes up with something we've overlooked. Thanks again! :D

Well, they're both the token kyoot baddie in their respective series, but they're actually quite different. Servebots (or Kobuns) are Tron Bonne's custom-built adorable servant-bots in the MegaMan Legends series. They do everything from cooking, to acting as messengers and (usually unintending) informants, to piloting mechs and airships in battle. Metools are the hard-hat baddies that grace the classic, X, Battle Network, and Zero series' in a multitude of forms. They're cute, but don't have much more story to them other than that they're always there, and always will be. If you want to know more, ask Linko_16. ^^

I'd definitely considered Toad and/or Peach, but I've already overloaded the desk with Mario etc STUFF. However, if I have room on my drawers after throwing everything else in, I'll add them in for sure.

Paint an F-Zero track on the top. Then make a model of the Blue Falcon out of clay or Plasticene or something, and fix it so it looks like it's plunging off the desk/track.

That idea is extrmely good, I don't know why I never thought of it. :D It's too bad I'm unable to backtrack for the top. It's already had three layers of polyurethane, I'd rather not destroy it. :( However, I might use the clay idea anyway for something else...

Whoa, okay. Make a huge Metroid (plaster of paris around a balloon is my first solution) and have it chewing the corner of your desk - the one you haven't painted yet. Seeing as it's from Goodwill, you could even score huge grroves in it as if it's gnawing it apart. If you cut the Metroid properly, you could have it around the drawer, too.

Rep added, Wings. I laughed really hard, and what scares me is that I would love to do that, if it wouldn't scare my poor grandmother. :(

And I've added ideas of my own from the Metroid games. None so great of course as Wings' scheme, but good enough. You'll have to wait a bit, though. College is rough work. ;)

Alright, I've got the whole weekend, not including work, and a holiday on Monday, and TGIF so I finally started working on this piece of turd. :D Yay.
